Zbros, I'm done doing your R&D

Sounds like your dealer kinda chit the bed too. Still don't understand why you yourself didn't call them and tell them what you wanted. You would of probably gotten it resolved and together by now. I'm sure you do your own work....I've been reading your posts over 10 years now .....so why would you have your dealer place the order? I understand your frustrations though...

I order through him because I like to support local business and he sells to me at a discount. He has already refunded 100% of the profit from the spindles because he felt bad about the situation and zbros's lack of concern. I let him make the call since I placed the order through him. I assume any company with a dealer network would prefer it be used. Nate has sent me a pm asking me to call directly so I will.

What tapdancing? :face-icon-small-con

My Tapdancing, I typed that very poorly. I have been a fan of Zbroz Cat products for years.

This is me responding without malice or sarcasm so try to take it as such...

I am familiar with the entire situation last year and the shock spring clearance issues on the previously designed A-arms, pre 2012.
Also familiar with the recommendation by the manufacturer that you DO NOT run the stock shock springs with the new shorter arms which is absent from most of the threads regarding Zbroz 36" arms.

I have been a customer and I'm not taking any shots in the dark.

The fact is we are in November of 2012 and Zbroz has had another couple of issues with on products released for the Pro RMK.

While the handling of the early release A-arms last season eventually did end up being very commendable (which I never questioned), it was in fact a case of a product release that was inadequately R&D'd.

Here we are in November of 2012... And we have a spindle that needs to be shaved on the 36" arms which was omitted initially and now additionally and not related to the shaving of the stock spindles, icr is having spindle fitment issues with Zbroz aftermarket spindles/hardware...

PK responded:

We are just into November of fist year with the 2013 machines it will take some time to figure out every little detail.

Myself and many other consumers actually expect the little details to be worked out prior to the release of a product by aftermarket companies.
When it doesn't happen repeatedly it sends up a red flag.

I have been tapdancing in not being more clear of my opinion on Zbroz' PRO RMK A arms the last few seasons and the way employees have passed the buck on the phone... however unpopular my opinion may be agree or disagree.

All the cheerleading by people who stand to gain financially by minimizing this stuff is what it is. Those who are sponsored by "xxx" product jump on board and those who sell "xxx" product do as well. Such is the way of Snowest.

All and all I'm agreeing that the R&D on the Polaris A arms made by Zbroz appears suspect again this year.

KUDOS to Zbroz for getting on it after the fact. It's too bad things weren't able to be handled prior to release again.

nothing against z-boz at all, I like their products..but it seems the popularity of the pro has vendors jumping over backwards trying to get product to market..seems some of these products dont have enough r&d done.. I have a feeling a lot of consumers are going to find that out the hard way...hope ZB gets you taken care of Mike..........

I called Nate directly as he requested and he apologized for the inconvenience and offered to ship me the bolts I need and give me a discount on any future purchase of his product. I declined both, not out of malice or spite but, simply put, I can get the bolts quicker from the hardware store and as I already mentioned I don't intend to give Zbros any more of my money, regardless of the discount.

I do appreciate the apology and offer to remedy the problem, but it's a case of too little too late. There's too many other aftermarket companies that sell quality products that don't require trips to the hardware store to get them to work. I'll give one of them my hard earned money next go around.

I also find it disheartening that it requires a public complaint on a forum to get attention from the company, if they'd apologized and shipped the bolts when my dealer called, this thread would never have been written.

Exactly! Whoever answers the phone at the company shouldn't care who screwed up. You need to own up on behalf of your company and make it right.

Blaming the guy in the back is like going to a restaurant and knowing full well your waitress forgot to put your order in and then she blames it on "the guys in the kitchen" and we all know thats a BS story. Name one person that is satisfied with that excuse!!! I know I sure as hell am not. I want the person to look me in the eye and own the screw up then tell me they are going to do their best to re gain my trust and business.

ha ha ha..what i find funny is you guys ride polaris.make it right? like the rmk900 or the dragon??did they make it right?

and you polaris guys have drive shafts breaking and belts blowing, but youll keep buying polaris i bet

Yes, with all of 2 belts stripped(none blown), and 4 broken drive shafts on the best selling sled on the planet we are all just having epic sized problems. Meanwhile your either on a cat that actually does blow belts like a fiend, a skidoo that refuses to tip on its side, or a yamaha that is obese.

you guys forget polaris guys were all over cat last year after a couple of seizures during break in and as far as belts....... oh ya we did blow a chit pile of belts.

I don't recall cat having seizures, just the blown belts. I don't mind when people point out facts(it was a fact that many cats blew plenty of belts) its saying you all had these problems when maybe 1 out of 20 new sleds have even been on the snow.

Hmmm, my cat doesnt blow belts, doesnt blow motors, doesnt strip belts, doesnt twist driveshafts, makes class leading hp, isnt the best selling sled - sort of like Porsche isnt the best selling car - and after a summer of mods is lighter than just about any poo.

Back to your regular program, sheepoo. Lol

And how much money to get it to that point(honesty counts here..labor hrs as well)......

i was just trying to defend zbroz to a point, not to get on you polaris guys, i love polaris actually. zbroz is a great company and they make one mistake and its the end of the world, was just saying that polaris has made mistakes too (as have other manufacturers) but it wont make you change brands. sorry if i affended anyone.

Funny thing is that I had a buddy that claimed the same thing, and couldnt understand how I was blowing belts all the time on my PC. Then he actually rode with our group for 3 days, he toasted 2 belts. So basically your bragging that you dont ride all that hard. And no amount of hp or light weight parts will make up for the fact that the PC is basically a trail sled with a long track.

Worst mountain sled Cat has come out with since the Power Extreme.

And I had a bud whose poo motor was ok until he rode with us and then he blew a motor. Lol

Ak - if you have to ask you cant afford it! ;)

Seriously, I spent about 2g's to drop about 50lbs. I went further than that though and I am st about 70lbs for 4g's and counting. It has become a sickness.
