im doin a top end rebuild on my 04 YZ125. im gonna hone it but our honing tool has different grit stones. anyone know wut stone i need to use?

There is a coating on the cylinder so don't hone it. If it is scored deep it is no good, you can resleave it or buy a new one.
I'm assuming your using a rigid hone. 200 grit should be fine. But standard stones won't do much more than scratch the nikasil.
Are there any deep scratches in the nikasil? If there are any deep scratches it's best to have it re plated.
Look very close at the plating on the exhaust bridge. And at the edge at the top of the exhaust port. If it's wore through you'll want to have it re plated.
The nik can wear through at the very top of the ring travel. It's very hard to see the begining of wear through because nikasil and polished aluminum are very close in color.

If it seized and left AL on there you can just clean it off with muriotic(sp) Acid
be careful when honing the cylinder, YZ are famous for the chrome to wear off at the exhaust port bridge.
would it be worth it to just bring it in and have it done? i think its like 25 dollars
