I support the death penalty. But few states will follow through and others will not join those states because they do not want to incure the expense of the suits from all the activist groups etc. Here in SD we had a guy a couple years ago that wanted execution and they were about to do it and the gov called it off the last day. Whole reason it was called off was because the gov did not want SD to be the next battlefield and have the people in the state incure the expense to do so.
