what are the best mods that you did to your edge chassis? id like to see what people out there felt made the most difference

Well depends on your pocket book. For minor easy mods, pipes, seats, risers and running boards are the way to go, both SLP and AAEN make great pipes that boost hp 10-12, The WRP mountain assault seat is great(sold by SLED Solutions) also skinz makes a chop seat(also sold through Sled Solutions), and both better boards and WRP tough boards are a must for snow evac in the deep pow(made by Better Boards and sold by Better Boards, WRP tough boards are avaible through Sled Solutions). If you want major mods, timber sled makes an EXELLENT front and rear skid, takes off weight, reduces whellie while on steep chutes and very comfortable(Bark Buster is the front and Mt. Tamer is the rear(plus from what I hear Allen, the owner is top notch which is always great!) New tracks and Drivers are also major but do help, Wahl Bro and Avid both makes great drivers and Camoplast has any track you want(personally the 155"x2.5" is my favorite but thats just me) Hopes this helps!

i made this post almost as a reference for others, there seems to be alot of how do i get more powder and what about this and that questions.

Well I think you ment to say "more power" but if not I like your way of thinking and if thats the case I would have to agree with rmkboxer. Install a big bore so you can get to the powder others can't. :)

If it was ment to be "more power" then like mentioned before it's whatever you want to spend but I think for the money chip off the easier stuff first like pipes, jetting, air box mods, clutching, and take off any extra weight that you can that doesn't cost anything or very little. After that then you'll have to spend more for the tracks, drivers, drop and roll, seat, skids, suspensions, and big bores.

.405 rear springs, Tempaflow, Powder Pro skis, add a couple grams weight over stock!

team clutch om the 02s, and no slip drivers (cut and clip the track)
A good clutch set up and no slip drivers on all the rest:face-icon-small-hap

Single pipe and carls porting. Scratchers for sure. but really it all begins with porting and a single or twins. These make the most differece, do not waste money with reeds, No real gain there.Your suspension is key as well, air box mods go with the porting and what not. Fact is certain things go together well so think about that.

Pipes, Airbox, Clutching, Track porting, Risers, hood. I did these mods last year and they made a noticable difference all put together. I really love the hood as well, crazy how much weight the stocker is.

This season I will be installing the better boards, wrp seat, big wheel kit, replace all the bent tie rods in the front ;) and a clutch kit. Half the guys I ride with are riding full mods and they have more **** to deal with throughout the season. There is something about 1 pull reliability. Sure they ride faster sleds, but my sled sails farther!

I am not sure the brand, but it is fiberglass. I installed the original tach, so it has temp/det light and back lit. It's air intake is drawn from bellow the gauges, just like the stock location, florites installed as well. Came with tabs so I was able to install the orginal hood brackets so it swings open like a stocker.

Had an 03 700 verticle edge, team secondary and the right clutching were big. Almost as noticeable a difference as the porting and slp pipe that followed up the clutching. Big wheel kit didn't make much of a difference except seemed to cruise down the trails at speed easier.

Mountain Horse is right on. Go to the gym. Yeah i know it sucks. Lose some weight and build up your endurance. First day i went i jumped on a treadmill. Did not know how to turn the dam thing on. Made it a 1/4 of a mile and thought they were going to have to haul me out of there. Stay with it and by winter you will be doing great. The first 6 to 8 weeks are the worst. After that you get used to the pain. Hit the the sauna and the hot tub. I used to laugh at people that went to gyms. Thought they should get a real job. Now i go 2 to 3 times a week and realize what a fool i was not to go 30 years ago.

I went with the ppp 800 mod.
Motor is a full mod PPP 800. Mods include:

SLP highflow airbox
SLP Twin Race pipes (ceramic coated)
Dynoed HP at 186 at 4500 ft.

With the 186 HPs it does great along with some other chassis mods as well.

You should just assume everyone in this thread is in shape, LMAO! Honestly though, I thought you had to be in good shape to sled, I mean they don't dig themselves out of the snow, and they don't roll themsleves back over. Maybe I need better friends...lol
