Anyone pack a sidearm when they ride? :confused: I know some FS's wont let you, ours is pretty kind about it, so I pack one. Anyone else packin heat? :face-icon-small-hap. I pack usually for my bobcat tag, or furbearing stuff.

I often times cary my G17 w/ the .22LR conversion kit on it.

Sometimes pack the 1911. Always keep it in the bottom of the pack with the mag in a different pocket. Just kind of one of those "worst case scenario" things if ya know what I mean :)

Been looking for a smaller pistol than my normal carry... then will again. It's just a habit and feels weird w/o one.

I was wondering about this the other day while surfing 1911forum.com

I don't right now b/c I'm not old enough but I plan to get a CCW permit next fall and then I plan to carry as often as legally possible, unfortunatly there is just too much evil in the world. When I do carry it will either be an XD or a ****ed and locked 1911 caliber 45 in and inside the waist band holster

Always carry a minimum of my fav. .22WMR or Mini-14. This year will be rifle in sig. ;)

no but I haven't ridden out west yet.

I was wondering how many guys carry one in the pack, seems to make as much sense as a lighter and a knife to me. Just don't have many critters that are a threat here in MN so that's why no gun...xcept the two I'm always packing!:face-icon-small-win

I have never ran into a problem on the mountain that would cause me to use it, ever. Even disputes between sledders thats the last thing on my mind. Usually cause its a PITA to take off the backpack ;)

and probably a little obvious..........

Glad im not the only one though :D

Got used to packing when I was a Pilot in AK. 1 shot in case you got hurt real bad. 2 if I had a passenger

I never have in the past but with the number of Mountain Lions and recent reports of Wolves around has got me concerned if myself or one of the kids gets stuck in the trees when we go out to the BLack Hills. Halfway tempted to get a .22 pistol for them and myself.

I am sooooooooooo glad that all yuz guz are from other states. Probably shoot your own foot waaaaaaaaay before your ever meet a lion or wolf.

More power to you. I am glad we have a choice!:beer;

I have a freind who was packin' in the Black Hills. He was checked for his sled tag, found to be carrying a gun and went to jail. This has been 5-7 years ago and these are the details best as I can recall. Freak incident. Lead, SD This wouldn't keep me from carring it, maybe a little more discreatly though.
