For the last 10 years the only thing we have heard about is the fire danger in the mountains is extreme because of global warming and the lack of water.

Now, here in colorado we had record snow falls. What do the talking heads say??
The fire danger is extreme because we had a short winter and the plants didn't have a chance to absorb the water. This shorter winter is because of global warming.

You have to give them credit. They know how to spin something to sound like they know what they are talking about.

I think it's more than one good snow year, it's the temperature decline year after year since 1998, capped off by the complete degree drop last year, and the prediction of at least that much this year. How's the Kool-aid taste P-stash?

I think both sides are full of ****!!! we dont really understand anything about global weather patterns. Its best guess at most! computer models and allthat junk are about as reliable as the weather man ! Its seems pretty obvious that the growth of grass and underbrush in a wet spring or after an abnormally dry winter is what really causes an increase in fire potential. seems like it a matter of timing really . even thought we had and unusally high snowfall this winter this spring has been dry at least in SO. Colorado if this keeps up the growth of grases and such will be limited and add less fuel to the potential fire . whereas a wet spring following a dry winter introduces more fuel during a hot dry summer . And really the point should be to stop AZZHOLES from tossing cig.butts out the window there would be alot less fires to worry about anyway! most of the fires that I have seen lately are caused by human stupidity rather than climate change.

couldn't agree more! and I have to say I don't think it will matter in the end even if it was mans fault! because the way humanity is headed We are on our way out either way! I think this is a good thing! I can't wait until the tree huggers and homos get to face me in the battle of natural selection. hopefully this will rid the world of liberal dickweeds that are much the cause of the problem than the solution. I have little doubt that mans end will come at mans hands I doubt the climate will be what ends our civalization as we know it. most likley will be mans arrogance in thinking they understand or can overcome nature that bring about the end.

I have a problem with the people that hold up one event, at one specific time in history and then cry the world is coming to an end and it's man's fault.
What I find so funny about the whole fire danger is this, there could be 9' of water covering the entire mountain range and someone, somewhere would say the fire danger is high.

As for global warming, the earth has cooled as a whole .67 degrees since 98. This is fact, not bs. The guy that Al Gore held up as a specialist and major backer of man made global warming is now saying they have no idea if global warming has any affect on hurricanes or not (sorry, I can't remember the guys name, he is the one that is in charge of predicting hurricanes and how strong they will be). He openly admits all the models they used to predict the hurricanes have been wrong for the last 20 years and they have no idea why.

The bottom line is simple.
As has been stated. Climate change is real. It has been happening for millions of years. It will continue to happen till the planet explodes. We (meaning man as a whole) have no idea or clue what causes climate change. We have no idea how "everything" comes together to have an effect on change.

Should we as a people learn to do things better, cleaner and more efficiently?
Of cource. Just don't tell me the sky is falling and if I send you a few billions dollars you will save me.

I have draw parallels between the 40's and what is happening now.
Weather patterns are very similar.
I just am not willing to say it is mans fault. Does man have an affect on global weather patters? I am pretty sure we do. There are just too many of us not to have "some" affect.

I just have to laugh at the people that absolutely refuse to admit they might be wrong and find any means they can to continue to scream global warming and man is going to destroy the world.
