You ever remember your dad letting you sipp his beer?

i'm only 23 and i can remember my old man givin me sips of beer when i was young to, nothing major just a sip or two here and there. and i've been around alcohol and some drugs my hole life and i can honostly say i've never touched any illegal drugs and i never really got into drinking until i was about 18 and have only ever had one hangover and only threw up twice off of alcohol. i'm sure my growin up around it and knowing the effects has helped out alot in my being responsible when i do drink.

i agree the chick drugging the baby needs kicked in the cu@# and i also agree that the more people try to regulate and hide **** the more kids are gonna wanna try it and thats when they go overboard. like i said i'm only a youngin at 23 but i still believe alot has changed even since i was a kid.

my parents never let me even have a sip ever...then i hit highschool and college and went a little crazy becasue it was a no no in our house and i was curious. i havnt settled down much but i know ill let my kids drink IN MODERATION when they are older so they wont be like me and be curious about things and do stupid sit. i am proud to say i have NEVER touched any illegal drug though and i never will.

I know someone who thought it was cute to let his young kid sip some beer now and then at ~2 years old.

now he's the best little beer theif you ever come across, he got nearly a full can (so the story goes) and got him self chitfaced. Now everyones very careful with booze around him..

think he'll have problems later in life with booze?

no. At five he will not remember being two.

i remember my parents asking me if i added water to thier booze one time and i replied...."no, cause then the next time i steal booze from you it would be watered down..."

good times. :D

people need to ease up on underage drinking.

i remember sips from my pops when I was little...kinda a once or twice a summer deal. Don't recall liking it, but now with certain beers I can taste the stuff my old man drank when I was little. That's kinda neat. Course some times it was N/A. I don't see anything wrong with a sip, I imagine my kids will be allowed sips.

In SD if you're over 18 and are accompanied by a parent you can legally drink if the establishment allows it. It used to be 16 up until 10 years ago or so.

I can remember being as young as 5 years old sometimes when you went with dad there was nothing else to drink so if you got thirsty it was ditch water or a good healthy drink of beer. :D

I'm 38 and I can remember that. totally harmless. On another note:
My 24 year old step daughter was at a barbeque the other night and the hostess let her baby(17 months old) sip beer till she was wobbly and obviously drunk. The poor excuse for a mother indicated that the beer would make the baby sleep so she could join in with the partying. In my opinion that is not cool.

W T F ???????????

Did anyone turn that in? THAT is stupid, irresponsible and downright endangerment!!!! STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my parents have let me have a beer on occasion on days whered it would be busy with hay or straw or something like that. they didnt care as long as i was with them....in south dakota i beleive its legal to drink underage if your parents are next to you

I believe a lot of things are ok in S. Dakota that aren't ok anywhere else as long as you do it with your parents!

Yup that kind of chit can kill a child at that age! ....and I'm sorry those at the party that didn't step up and call the police have a bunch of culpability themselves!

.

Where i come from, a few drinks ain't no big deal, if your old enough to fight for your country you can have a brew, 5 miles over the limit is cool, you can cross a city street on a dirtbike to get to the mountains, and you can have tinted windows....

Wait, i guess the cops ran out of drug dealers, child molesters, and murderers to try and catch, so they are turning on the average American that pays their wages and ****ing us up the *** with a 3" steel pipe. (if you sense a bit of resentment in my post, its because i have had like $400 in fines in the last 2 months and I have never had a ticket in my life until june, **********s)
