I haven't ridden an SS kit yet but I have ridden my Camso a LOT and I'm sold on the monorail. Not all of the boggie wheels touch the track all the time so there is a gap that allows the bike to come over with ease.
I'd really like to throw a leg over a bike with a 12 inch track and narrow rail spacing to see how it compares. This is just me talking out loud but I don't see how there can be any benefit to going to a narrower track for back country riding vs sticking with a 12 incher with the additional floatation. Maybe it can compensate with track speed but you can putz around on the Camso then pick your line, you don't need to be WFO all the time. Again I could be wrong, and it sure wouldn't be the first time, but I think 12 inch tracks with narrow rail spacing are going to be the new norm. If you can't try an SS try a Camso to get the feel of how easy it is to ride. In setup spring snow the SS would be the bomb.
