So I talked with Kevin at the Boise sled show because I was interested in narrowing my pro. I asked him why I should buy his kit because there were other products out there that were cheaper etc. To my surprise, he didn't bash his competitors products,he started off by complimenting them. Then he just explained why he designed his the way he did. Totally caught me off guard.
After listening to his sales pitch, I went ahead and bought his kit (pretty convincing explanation).
Rode my sled last weekend and even though it was not deep enough for prime time, I was having so much fun with the new front end that I couldn't help myself. I rode hard and was having an awesome time - first time the pro felt right to me.
So bottomless/baseless snow pack, plenty deep but with no base, you can guess where this is going. Uncovered 2 rocks, both threw me off and flipped the sled. First hit, I expected to have lost an a-arm. But all was good. Made me a little nervous that Kevins design might be to stout and take out the bulkhead. 2nd hit (same side) I knew I did some damage. Got down and looked it over real close and only found the lower a-arm on the side that I hit on had a small wrinkle. Was able to ride the rest of the day without really worrying about it - kink was pretty small.
That happened on Saturday. And here is where my rant starts - Sunday morning I checked and he was online here so asked him if I could give him a call. He took my order on a Sunday and today (Tuesday) I came home to a new lower a-arm waiting for me to install.
Seems ridiculous to me that our suppliers cant work a little harder to get us our parts. I ordered this part on Sunday morning and it was on my doorstep on Tuesday. Thats 2 days! Come on man, that only leaves me 3 days to get it replaced before the weekend.
Ok, rambled long enough - point is, can't believe the turn-around. It's all about awesome products and customer service...Kevin knows how to deliver it and I sure appreciate it. Love that front end, wish I could afford to do the rear skid too. BTW - this is his front end (37") stock WE's and stock springs, setup is soooo good, cant wait to try some springs with it.... will be a while before I try'em cause it feels perfect the way it is.
ok, off the soap box. Thanks Kevin!
