Soon buying my 180 kit! Is there anything else i may need other then what comes with the kit? Any suggestions would be awesome!

I would look at the Koso X2 guage this will tell you your boost level, air/fuel ratio, and temperature. May also look into a boost controller to control amount of boost.

that depends on what kit you are getting. regardless i would get the gauges, you may need a clutch kit too.

I did the snowcheck deal last year and went with the MPI 180 turbo.

I did the Koso x1 gauge (boost only) - if I had done more research I would have gone with the X2.

I did build a snorkel intake, I have 2 rotopax units (fuel and storage) on my tunnel behind the turbo and I was getting snow build up between the packs and the seat - all over the intake. So if you are doing anything storage wise behind the turbo intake, you may want to build a snorkel intake too.

Other than those two items - the turbo kit has been gas-go.

I did some chassis stuff too (SKINZ front end and airframe boards, OFT steering re-locator, etc.) but there are a ton of other threads for that discussion.

Im just starting with the 180 Turbo kit. Prob push turbo.

You definetly need a boost gauge, but the A/F is optional on the push kit because the fueling is so close with the pre-programmed settings that you really never need to touch it. I have the latest Nytro Push kits in stock. Fully tested here in Colorado, These kits run Awesome in the mountains. I also have great high altitude clutching for this kit. PM me for pricing and more details if you are interested

tmk50- How do you like your skinz front end and oft steering relocator? Im looking to buy both setups.

Both are well worth it so far IMO. The relocator gets the bars up where they should be for stand up riding and the a arms basically stretch the wheelbase out and make the sled more forgiving and easier to ride. I could whip around a stock sled ok without the mods, now I have the energy to do it all day especially in low snow conditions when the weight of the sled is more of an issue. Both mods push the nytro towards what a pro rmk is, which is probably where Yamaha is heading based on the front ends the hill climb and cross country racers ran last year.

If you don't want to spend the money on the OFT, you can get a relocator from Outlaw Motorsports for about $45. I used mine most of last season, works just fine.

Sounds awesome the one im buying actually already has a oft setup on it and a Ez Ryde rear skid. Now i just have to throw my turbo and a-arms on there then ill be ready. Does anyone know of a good install guide for the MPI turbo that is the one i purchased today.

What does this turbo push out for psi? is stock 3? What can i run for boost if i just want to run 91 octane? Thanks

Depends on elevation. Mine was 6 or 7 from the factory, I don't know where this 3psi stuff is coming from, maybe that is new this year and it is up to the installer to adjust the rod to turn it up.

It really depends on your elevation (see MPI install instructions) This season I am planning to running 8-9 at 10-12k with some Torco fuel accelerator added to each tank to bump up the octane to make sure I am safe. Lots of guys over on Totallyamaha have used that stuff and had good luck.
