Yamaha Incentives

Yamaha Incentives (or lack there of)

Yami-cluefull types,

I just bought an 09 Yamaha sled on 1/7/09. (09 XTX)
Nice sled, decent setup and delivery was prompt and well communicated.

Closed the deal a few days ago, and this morning I learn of an applicable Yamaha incentive program that is listed as applying from 1/1/09 through 3/26/09 offering $1500 Customer Cash.

The dealer did not inform me of this offer!

The final invoice does list a "discount" of $1025 which basically covers freight and setup and a few hundred dollars more. So I paid a few hundred dollars under invoice with the $1025 "discount" for the sled.

Is there a way to now get this discount to apply?
It is called "Customer Cash" not "Dealer Cash!"
Am I screwed?

Thanks!

MtnDoo

Funny thing is that I told the owner/dealer: "I don't want to find this same sled for 2K less in Sunday's paper"

Call the dealer and ask them. What dealer was it? In Denver? It sounds like they were pretty professional, if the promotion was in effect during the time you bought the sled, they can't deny you the discount. They may tell you the discount you got was from the promotion. You need to read the fine print of the promo and compare it to the deal that you got and see if they can justify saying the discount you got was the discount from the promo. Good Luck.

It's a long-time western slope dealer, I'll hold back their name until I can discuss the issue with them on Tuesday.

Not trying to trash them, but just feeling like a fair deal is due.

Where can I find the "fine print?" The Yami site says "see dealer for details"..

Thx!

MD.

Good News!

Great news to report!

I visited with the owner of dealership this morning and they called back this afternoon.

Since $300 of fall/08 Yamaha incentives had already been applied to my purchase, they have agreed to refund the remaining $1200.00 to fulfill the Jan-March 09 Yamaha Customer Cash program!

This was a simple, straight-forward discussion; no arm-twisting or other negotiating gymnastics required!

If you're looking for a Yamaha on the Western Slope of Colorado, you should consider:

Sun Sports Unlimited
Gunnison, Colorado
(970) 349-0883

They have several units remaining and have very good to work with.

Thanks for the letting me bend your ear here on the Yami board!

BTW - ran the XTX again, and I'm pleasantly surprised with how it performs. Much different than a Doo XP for sure, but seems to be a very solid, capable sled.

Just to back up the dealer....we were given the Jan 1st incentive programs on the first and then around the 5th or 6th they were revised. So know they were not holding out on you, Yamaha just changed it up on us midstream. Kudos to these guys for taking care of you.:beer;
