Yamaha guy dreaming in green...M8 or M1000?

Guys, I've been riding a fourstroke with a 162" Camo Extreme for a couple seasons now. The weight of the sled has been dropped dramatically with a Boss seat, Holz front end, M7 skid, etc. It's when I went to a Nytro Riser and raised my bars way the heck up there and the leverage was increased that the sled really began to feel "light" to me.

I went from the stock 151" Challenger to a 159 x 16 Skidoo Ultra Trench track to a 162" x 16 x 2.5" Camo Extreme. I get the track differences you mention.

Do these sleds come in white or black? I'm not as fond as maybe I should be of Arctic cat green or orange just yet. For some reason I'm envisioning blue Yamaha logos on a white M1000. :face-icon-small-dis

Here's my current sled.

Switching to the dark side

I used to be a loyal summit man but when I bought a 153 07 1000 last year and never looked back,:beer; threw on D&D twins, boondocker fuel controller, new air intake, reeds the sled dyno at 200hp and ran very good through the year. That caused me to snow checked the 09 LT 1000 snowpro and with my assories this thing should rock.

Yeah, as was said above the 09's only come in white (snopro) and black (standard). The 08 standards also came in orange, which I don't like at all. I brought my 08 Snopro home a couple weeks ago and the white looks awesome, I reccomend it :p

How about some white snow pro pictures? The AC site sucks for pictures. I was going to stop at the Cat dealer today but ended up on the wrong side of town.

I did make it too a dealer that sold the other three brands. The Polaris Dragon was ok but it didn't click for me, The Skidoo XP154 was great but the throttle pull is WAY too hard (like it's been for years), and the Yamaha Nytro fit me perfectly but, I know it's a bit porky and only has a 153" x 15" track, the Apex felt ok but, I basically already have one minus the fuel injection.

Yawn............... I want something different! Something new! Geesh.... I sound like Paris Hilton after a week with one guy!

Here's a picture of my 08, since I just got it a couple weeks ago I don't have any pictures with snow.

Whoa big fella! I'm trying to keep from needing a turbo to keep up with my Yammy buddys. They are all pushing at least 230 hp with some much closer to 300hp. Maybe I just need new friends?

I see the SLP single pipe and lightweight silencer is supposedly 192.8 hp. and saves 16 lbs. Does a guy still need the upgraded Y pipe for this to work, or have they improved them since 07?

Then it becomes a power to weight equation. How much hp does a M1000 have to have to compete with a tubby turbo Yammy? Although, those freaks are climbing in places I'd prefer not to go anyway, so maybe it's a moot point?
