xp vibration

I have been reading that the xp has a bad vibration.
Has it been an issue? causing engine or clutch failure? or just discomfort?
Anyone know the cause?
Is there a fix?
Do the 09's have the same issue?
My 09,800x,154 is in and I would like to know if there is anything I can do to correct this,if it is an issue, before riding.I would like reliability and comfort.
Thanks.

I think it is all clutching, if the engine over-revs at slow speed it will feel buzzy. Mine did until the clutching dropped 500 rpm out of it at slower trail speeds.

Don't beleave anything you read negitive about these sleds.I have one and got all concerned about all the negitive crap, and had the best season on the best sled I ever owned. If you think it has a vibration ride a 900 polaris for a while then get back on your sled.It might not be the smoothist ideling motor but is shines in many other ways, and vibration (minimal if any) has not caused any real issues that I've heard of.
MY Thoughts.

I found my 09 x has a vibration at idle, it is the front left (when sitting on it) skid mount bolt. It goes away when I stand on the running boards. Haven't asked the dealer yet.

All the big twins vibrate a bit, some are worse than others but it's mostly noticable at idle and slow speeds...but not a big deal. I did notice my '08 800R engine is much smoother than the '07 it replaced under warranty.

If you get a vib on the front left and standing on the board stops it, check the aluminum guard over the brake, put a dab of silicon glue under the tab to stop the thing from bouncing off the brake and making that nasty noise.

I have a bad vibration on occasion between -5-6000, taking it again this week.

When I read this post I'm not sure if your talking about sledding? Sounds a little perverted?

My 08 vibrates big time compared to my buddies 09 dragon. When you switch sleds it's the first thing you notice. That's the only thing I like more about the dragon is the smoothness. It doesn't have the grunt of the Doo, it feels like a sewing machine under the hood. I wouldn't buy one. Very happy with the XP other then the vibration and clutching issues. Just haven't got the clutch 100% figured out yet.

Mine had that same buzzy feel till i got the clutching under control. Then it got even smoother when I put in the lighter RKTech pistons...unfortunatly that was the only thing they improved
