Xp hood staying on?

Anybody have any problems with there Xp's hood staying on? I lost mine a couple of times and never in an easy spot to recover. Hoping somebody has a good fix(which includes me keeping my Xp). Willing to buy a new hood but Im not sure that will fix it. Thanks

on mine the tab on the right side continually pops out, wont stay in, but hood has never come off.

The first hood that came with my sled was like that. The second one I bought in late Nov 07 fits much better and doesn't pop out. Not sure what they changed but the newer ones seem to stay in place.

Mine pops out on the right tab too, but has never fallen off. It is rather annoying.

I saw my brothers come off about 10 times but only because he is mechanically declined and doesn't know how to put it on. The hood goes on just fine when everyone else does it.

Same problems here. One side (can't remember which) pops out but the hood never comes off. Does it have anything to do with the temp fluctuation-cold temp outside, warm engine inside? It seems to fit better when not in use. Obviously no jarring etc. when you're not using it but it just seems to fit better.

Mine only has a problem staying on when the spare belt is fitted incorectly and pushes the hood off. Check yours if you haven't already.

same deal here, right side is always popping out but I never had it fly off. I tried some other hoods and they did fit better. Maybe add some straps like the 440s? Not sure if they're already on the 600RS.

Right side on mine keeps popping up, but never lost the hood. I'll have my dealer replace it under warranty.

Sounds like you just need to adjust the hood so it pops in better. If you have tweaked something up front it will not close right

Its just my right side that pops out, almost consistantly(even on the trailer), but every once in a while with a little "abuse" it falls off. I'll make sure everything is tucked in right and not tweeked. My feelings are its already worn out from getting into my HotDogger too much.

........................ anybody even seen one of the lightweight xp hoods?
