Ski-Doo is junk !

Yamaha is twice the machine STOCK !

That has to be the biggest azzhat remark of the year right there! Somebody will have that in there sig line within a week. LMFAO at the idiots in this world. You should have said Yamaha is twice the weight stock, and it would have been alot more beleivable.

shouldnt you and linc be over on ty wraped in a blue flag where everyone will agree with your bs, only a real idot would say that any of the new machines are junk

Come on now, that's sounds like the pot calling the black. I'm only stating what most XP owners feel but are afraid to say it,"I been hosed again by BRP,,,fawk"
and it's not even January yet, you've still got to pay for that thing for another three and half years. Face it,BRP has let you down, and you want to know something,,if they advertised next week that they had turned it into a 900 twin and was another twenty pounds lighter,,,you wouldn't think twice about buying it. You'd buy it knowing that you would be totally greifed out with recalls and lost riding days, and having a machine that will worth nothing in two years,,,,you paid alot of money for that thing,,,it wasn't made in China. There is no excuse for that. Don't get me wrong,I think what they had done with getting the weight down is extraordinary, the whole industry will be on their toes, but I believe it has come at a great cost to consumer confidence.I know guys that won't ride their machine at it's full potential because they're afraid they won't have the belts to get out. If you have to be afraid to run your machine at it's full potential because you're worried about breaking it, then the manufacturer is ripping you off,it will be interesting how many days you will lose due to recalls and parts not being available, how many times you cut your ride short because you're on your last belt. I can ride my turbo'd Yamaha every day and know that failing a crash,I will ride till I'm out of gas.

linc ive bought a new doo for the last 5 years my freinds are lined up to buy them at the end of the year, not one of them has had a major failer, the worst that happened was my 06 had the throttle positioning sensor go bad. they go any where from last years 2007 with 800 miles [i did have to mess with the clutch on this one]to the 2003 with 3500 miles to my 04 renegade that has 7000 miles on it now. maybe ill feel differant if one blows up. this year i bought the xp and a nytro ill see tomorrow if this nytro can get out of its own way. about holding value the yamaha dealer here cant sell leftover phazers and apexs for cost, try selling your turbo for half of what you have invested, it wont happen, i thought it was common knowledge that yamahas have no resale value, cant you just be happy knowing that on a steep hill with nothing in your way your going to be king, and let us other guys ride what we want.

No problem, but can you do it quieter and without hurtin your arm patting yourself on the back.
And don't BS us about the resale of Doo's. The 07's are a dime a dozen and theres no line up to get one. They are for sale everywhere and the price is dropping like a rock. I hope the XP's work out better than the 07's did, for the guys who bought ones sake. Based on most reports, theres a storm a-coming.

You Doo guys are funny. You pick on Yamaha for its weight and that is the only thing you can find. I can't believe you equate weight with being a poor stock sled. Look deep into your tin can piece of junk and tell me it is the end all be all ! You keep talking about riding through the trees. I ride where ever my Doo buddies ride whether it be in the trees or on nice big hills ! I ride in the mountains not in the parking lot there lads. How can you guys ride through the trees consistently when you have to stop and change the belt on a regular basis ?

I really couldn't care what you think about my "tub" because i know and you know even with 260HP it will run longer and harder than your over marketed under engineered tin can.

I love guys who can't tell it the way it is. You could own any sled and say it is the best even after you buy 100 belts. The best stock sled, c'mon ?

I think i would know i do own a XP !

switching sides alread???

i posted earlier that i had no problems with about 130 miles on sled......rode in 3 + ft of powder this weekend and went through 2 belts!! If you stop and let clutches cool you will not have problems but there was too much untracked pow to put my mark in so I didn't stop too much. I had cords coming out within 14 miles of riding in the deep. I will be gearing down to 19 tooth and adding vents. The clutches will run way cooler.

I have 154 xp. I added vents before I rode it. Rode 2 days now in 3-4 feet of powder. I rode the trail for 30 miles at various rpm to break in the belt. Absolutely flawless. Even after 15 min of hard powder riding I could touch the clutches with bare hands. I took off the the plastic shroud around the clutch and also the tool holder, I left the aluminum shroud. No gearing or weight changes have been made.
