Xbox info needed

Get her the 360. It is what she wants. My nephews have the 1st Xbox and they wanted the 360. That is all they talked about and when they opened the plain Xbox you could see their little faces fall. Chances are you are going to spend the cash anyway, so just get the 360. She will be thrilled!!

If you do get the Xbox 360, make sure you put it in a place where it can get plenty of air. If they overheat, they pretty much turn into a $350 paperweight.

Microsoft actually extended the warranties to three years on the 360 to fix this and other problems with the 360 (namely the red ring of death). But yes people need to read the directions and not place them directly on carpet or keep lots of other games and stuff on top of their consoles.

If your console dies you call them up and answer a couple questions, they send you a box to ship it in, you ship it off, and in about a week or two you get it back fixed (or you get a new console). This all just happened to me about two weeks ago. Inconvenience = yes, but all the shipping is free and it is nice to see a company realize they have a problem with their product and extend their warranty to cover that problem.
