WTF is up with the BOSS seats?

I bought a boss seat on July 18 and still have no seat. I have been told that I am not the only one, there are people out there that have waited longer than I have. If my math is correct that is 16 weeks and getting closer to 4 months. I bought a new seat in July with the thought of getting it before the snow flies but it dont really look like it. I know that the supplier I bought it from has no control over this but WTF is up with BOSS the only thing that they can say is that there foam machine broke down. WTF?????
 
I bought mine in June and had it in September(a few years ago though) so yes I'd say your overdue. It sucks but they are known for having long wait times. Best advice is to order it in early spring. I know that doesn't help you but advice for others. Hopefully they get you your seat soon. :)
 
you should try R&M I like my seat and it took 3 weeks to get it ! they are not perfect either but better than boss IMO. Lots of storage too
 
Trust me if I would have known then what I know now I would have never bought a boss but they already have my money!
 
I still cannot understand why people continue to order Boss seats and then b1tch about the wait time. I mean, come on, who actually thinks they're going to get it on time. This happens year after year and these threads are old. Seriously, how many years is this going to go before people get the clue that Boss NEVER delivers on time.
 
VERY TRUE NIKOLAI, BOSS has always been months out on seats. This is nothing new! The axxess seats work pretty well and are a good alternative or just have the local upholstery shop build you a seat for wayyy cheaper then all those guys

This happens year after year and these threads are old. Seriously, how many years is this going to go before people get the clue that Boss NEVER delivers on time.

Sorry that new sledders dont know everything that you know!
 
Didn't neccesssarily mean to direct it at you, but there are long time members who still order these seats and then piss and moan. I have sympathy for you(waiting for parts sucks) just not the people who have gone through this and still order again like it's going to be different the second time. Can you get your deposit back?
 
That is pritty much out of the question. All they tell you is you will have it in a couple weeks. (2 weeks go by) done this a half a dozen times it isnt really the wait it is more the fact that they dont give you a straight answer they just keep telling you will have the seat soon. I guess that is one way to sell seats but like you said, if I have done that before I would never do it again and I dont even have my first seat. I even asked how long it would take to get it way in advance because I had a chance to buy a used one and would have rather had a new one. Should have bought the used one!
 
I've had four boss seats,put two on buddies sled and never had to wait more than a couple weeks.Lots of venders stock them,it can take a little shopping but I have had good luck finding what I needed in someones current inventory.Won't help any one that has one on order now,but next time!!My opinoin for what it's worth..
 
I bought a seat from them years ago - for a ZX.
Specifically requested and they agreed to ship a CMX model seat. (low cut)

Months later, they sent a standard model.
$500.00 mistake.
They would not return it, and explained how they did nto make the CMX seat anymore.

I've owned 5 sleds since, no more BOSS seats for me.

I read about this every season.
Next will come the "company in transition/over-worked valiant owner" excuses.

If you put it on a credit card call visa or your card issuer. I ordered a couch several years ago and it was kind of the same deal, they just kept pushing the date back and wouldn't give me the money back. Months later I got tired of sitting on the floor so I called visa, explained it all to them and they credited my card then contacted the furniture manufacturer to try to get their money back. I got lucky, the only reason I put it on my card was because I left my checkbook at home that day.

That's why I bought a SKID SEAT last year, had it in 4 days, the whole underneath is open for plenty of storage. If I'm not mistaken, I think its a 1 or 2 lbs lighter. my2
 
If I remember right Boss at the end of last riding season came out with an announcment, We hired a new customer service rep, more people, no more waiting ,service will improve, on and on. So I spring checked a seat, still no seat, maybe the end of November??? i knew about Boss s terriable customer service from people who had to deal with them on seat issues and all the past years posts about Bosses service, but I took them at there word and ordered one so I wait!!!!
 
They do have new customer service but I have not seen much change. I do know that they had an issue with the foam maching going down which caused like 3 weeks of downtime. Not good this time of the year. However, I did get a letter from them saying everything is up and running smoothly now and they expect all order before oct out by the end of November. Some will be sooner. I expect your seat will come to you in the next few weeks if you can just hold on a little longer. I am not sure about seats that were ordered in the last month. I would not expect to get them right away but you should have them much before the season is over. The only exception could be a new model that is not designed yet or if they screw up or have trouble with your seat.

If you purchased a seat from me and would like a refund just let me know.

This happens every year without fail,why would this year be any different.
Mine was ordered in July or August and I know it wont show till at least next month.
Just like death and taxes,you can count on Boss being late a few months beond the projected ship date.
Just my experience any way.
