I was in the scale house today at a dumping site.....place takes dirt, concrete, sod, whatever. I had trucks hauling in concrete demo debris.
I'm waiting to talk to the young lady who was dealing with a City of Seattle employee. Now mind you, on the way in I had taken note that it was a city truck....nice one too. KW, T800 4 axle, slope box. Struck me as odd...passenger sitting in the truck too. All decked out in rain gear. Now I dont' know about you all, but me don't think it takes two to get a dump truck up the road. But what do I know...
The driver is trying to get the tipping ticket filled out.
"What do you have"
Driver: "spor"
"What..?"
Driver: "Spoooor"
"Huh?"
Driver: "Ya' know, Spoooooooor"
"Can you spell it for me?"
Driver: "S P O I L.... spor."
Me: "No chit... and you get paid? no wonder you got a navigator".
I can just imagine the radio communications in that rig.
"Base to Truck #1, your location?"
Driver: "I right here...... where you at?"
