In theory, it would work. IF, the govt worked for us, but they work for themselves. Truth is, your rep will never see them. They get received, logged and tossed out by some stupid intern with stretch marks on her mouth and you get a standardized form letter back with a stamped signature.
We did that a while back with some area closures and each sent in a letter, in our own words and then a month later we all got the same letter back. Only differance was the name in the address.

Seems that your US Representative may pay a little more attention to the locally elected State Reps, County Commissioners, and even City Government. One of the local city councils here in NE Wa. had their room over ran last week by a general public that came to a scheduled meeting asking for a 2nd amendment appreciation day to be proclaimed. The same folks also petitioned the County Commissioners to contact the US Rep. And let her know that the voting constituency was watching her every move.
I really think the US Reps get a little out of touch with the voter sentiment, but they do seem to have the smarts to listen to the elected folks at the State and County levels of their districts. Might be worth a try. EW
