At the end of the day or if I come of a big jump I can feel sharp pains in my wrist. I went to the Bone and Joint place and they told me It's nothing to series just that I need to wear a wrist support when I ride. Question is does anyone else have this problem and if they do what wrist band have you found works the best and doesn't make it hard to put on gloves and hold onto the bars.

yeah I have that problem. thats because I have so much metal in it I could have a hardware store. But the wrist band thing I just suck it up. but if were doing back to back days I wear my friends gloves that have built in wrist suports. Ill see what brand they are and Ill get back to ya.:D

Dakine makes a glove with a built in support/brace. Not sure how well they work. When I go back-to-back days I wear a pair of simple wrist support gloves. Walgreens carries them I think. Thin, stretchable, gloves go over them pretty easy.

My "quackapractor", umm I mean chiropractor told me to go to the bowling alley and buy a bowlers wrist support.
Wow, it really helped me, and it was only $15.00. Leather, with velcro straps. There is a solid support of some kind sewn in, and fits the curve over the top of the wrist and hand.

another option I've used in the past is to use athletic tape over that foamy type athletic tape that doesn't stick to your skin but sticks to itself.

Maybe if you would stop your other "personal" activities....they always did say "it's all in the wrist!" LOL!

But in all seriousness, The Dakine gloves may be worth looking into, I came VERY close to buying them, tons of support because it's a full glove.

I have had a couple of surguries on my right wrist.

I use the ru outside thumb thing. It definalty helps.
you will want loose fitting gloves with the thumb thing.

maybe try water skiing gloves.....really wide wrist strap that you can cinch really tight. Seems to support the wrist well. might be worth a shot but at 50 plus a pair it could cost a bit.

I had the same problem for a while. I just got a set of handlebar risers and rocked them up straight unlike the factory puts them and that really helped

My left wrist was broken in 32 places.. my right wrist was broke so bad the surgeon said it looked like a box of rice krispies bones where falling out on the floor as he operated. If you are passing out or throwing up or if you wake up every time you roll over at night then you may have to stop riding for a day or two. Get a bottle of ibuprofen and take about a dozen with a 1/2 a mickey, that way you won't need the box a clean ex. Make sure you don't eat a lot of protein it is a killer on joints. Some sleds are way way way easier on the wrists than others.

Spend time adjusting your handlebar and risers. I found the handlebar on mine was rocked forward about two splines and setting it back helped greatly.

wow when I started this thread I had no intentions on getting a few laughs out of it. Thanks everyone for your opinion. I know a lighter sled would help (i agree my sled is a tank but it rips). I Just thought of a reason of why it could hurt so bad, few months ago got kicked by a cow right in the wrist couldn't move it for two weeks and didn't go into the docter, I think that might have somthing to do with it.

possibly carpel tunnels issues...???...Bells make a great herbal carpel tunnel syndrome supplement...diamond drillers up in these parts twisting steel rod have had good luck with it..

Step#1 Quit Jerkin' your Gerkin'

Step#2 After the snow is gone......http://www.jumpusa.com/wrist.htm

You can build your own for cheap...they are called wrist rollers...start out light and work your way up. I had alot of wrist problems from HS and college wrasslin...hope this helps.

Step#3 Kick the cow back

I have some old wrist protectors from rollerblading times. I know, I know. It was good off season practice for skiing though.

I took the plastic support out of them, and use them periodically when my wrist hurts. You could get a pair at the salvation army for cheeeeep, and you can put them over your gloves. Your thumb comes through perfectly, and you can adjust them for different tightness with the velcro.

snowboard gloves

First get your bars at a good level for your riding style so your arms are level.
I wear snowboard gloves when on long trail rides otherwise I wear regular gloves. The snowboard gloves have a wrist guard built into the top and a wide cuff. You don't have to deal with putting on wrist braces and then putting gloves on.
