Wrecked sled landed on rail Tek vest or??

I wrecked my sled Friday climbing though trees caught some good air and I landed on my side on the rail I thought I fractured my pelvis is the tekvest the best option I want something with good side protection since I brused the bone and kidney

Thanks

Not much side protection in the tekvest.

I use a tek vest. What I did when buying ( maybe lucky) but went with a large and can adjust it to the smallest size and get double coverage on the sides. It fits perfect.

A Tekvest isn't made to protect a pelvis. Side rib protection is ok. Chest and back protection is great. I like my Freestyle - maybe others with different armor will chime in.

I have the race EVS vest it does offer some side protection, My ribs are pretty much covered on the side. If you took a hard hit on the side I think it would help, probably still get hurt but not as severe. I like the vest its not big and bulky, you can still move around really good.

I love my Motorfist edition evs vest. Way comfortable & non restrictive while still offering full coverage. Really didn't think idbe able to handle armor but the evs is almost unnoticeable

I wear a full upper body protection "shirt" from TLD. It is a long sleeve, has upper/lower back, ribs/sides, full front, shoulders, elbows and forearm protection. It's like a mesh, somewhat tight fitting longsleeve shirt. I absolutely enjoy wearing it. I took a few upper back pads out as I seen no purpose for them with the ABS Bag I wear, also made it seem bulky on the back with the ABS Bag.

Troy Lee Designs 7855 Upper Body Armor Armor is the model name and number.

I dislike any bulkiness when I ride and don't get that bulky feeling when wearing this. It's saved my *** more than once this year. I did a unplanned superman (turbo spooled, skis skyward, climbing long pull, rear skid hit rock under snow and bucked). I kissed the handle bars and gas tank...probably the hardest hit I've taken while snowmobiling. I actually partially dislocated my shoulder...which is something I don't think any of these protection vests would prevent but the chest/frontal protection was great along with the ribs.

I highly recommend this setup. I'm not sure if the "impact rating" (if there is one) would be as high as the TekVest as the pads are more of a thicker porous hard foam instead of the plastic like type vests.

4th season for my TekVest. If you buy the right size the adjustable side pads will cover your kidneys. After the first ride you will not know you are wearing the vest--I wear mine outside my jacket.

I have seen them on sale over the net $269 msrp to $199 no tax.,free delivery.

x2 what he said ..most comfortable one u will find. They also offer a sleveless one BP 7850

I tried both the TLD with sleeves and without. With was too hot for me. I wear the Snowpulse vest over the top. The combo offers great protection all around. The TLD shirt has many small pads with gaps in between. A handle bar or rail could easily find that gap. I like having the Snowpulse vest on top to cover the gaps. Also, it is cooler with the shirt on under the Avy vest as there are air channels for circulation. Highly recommended. Also would be great to wear the TLD shirt under plastic armor which is what I think it was designed for.

Is there one that would be lower in the front so stomach would be hidden from a hard blow also. Teck vest is nice but would rather have it lower in the front.
