The other 3 manufacturers went to sleep for 2014, Polaris went into a coma. :face-icon-small-con Their website indicates not even one change other than some fugly graphics? They can't be so clueless as to think nothing needed improvement? Can they? :face-icon-small-dis

Here we go again....

Come on fellas; you can't possibly expect these guys to come out with ground breaking changes EVERY SINGLE YEAR can you?? When the 2011's came out; it changed the industry. Both Arctic Cat and Ski-doo got left behind. As a result, they both have come out with some damn good sleds. Thats GREAT for EVERYONE. The customer wins.

Snowmobiliers have to be the hardest segment in the world to make happy. The Pro's are an AWESOME sled. If you have a 11-13 Pro, and are happy, then good for you! If you're riding an older model or another brand, and want a 2014, I'm sure you'll love it. But for people to get on here and start SLAMMING polaris is pretty predictable.

Ride whatever the Hell you want; and Ride it hard!

They improved their a-arms and driveshaft for '14.
I couldn't imagine them coming out with anything new or innovative after the results of their last innovation. It's probably wise to back up a year and start over.
Who would have expected Yamaha to have made the biggest changes? :face-icon-small-con

Where did I say I wanted or expected ground breaking changes? I would be pretty content if they just fixed the known problems. :face-icon-small-win

Brew, where did you see Polaris say this? I have seen no authorized statement indicating ANY changes.

I don't think they want to talk about problems from the past. Hopefully those are fixed for 2014.

I suppose the best way would be to look up part numbers for the 14 and compare to the 13 and see what ones change.

Hope is a good thing, but hoping snowmobile manufactures fix known problems is often met with a lot of disappointment. :face-icon-small-ton

But they sure would sell a whole lot more of them if they could reassure the buyer base that their driveshaft isn't going to blow up with 15 miles on the sled. (Happened to my buddy in Sun Valley) Or that there had been small improvements made to the QD system.

I think they are afraid of kicking the hornets nest that is 13' owners if they say they made changes. Every 13' owner will be beating them up for the upgrades under warranty.

Or maybe they all love driving around with an aluminum collar on their shaft saving them from catastrophic failure.

Ya funny year for sure. They didn't even try to BS us with improvements lol.

I'm sure there will be a lot of part # changes that no one will know til next year (just like everyone else). This will save a rush of late season or pre season warranty claims.
The 14 will be better than the 13 in many slight ways, especially the parts that will carry over to the 15 year.
What I find wierd is the Poo marketing team and how low profile they have been this spring. They've been the best with the "tata daaa" music in the demo vids and superstar flickable vids. Very entertaining in the past and this year,,, "I see my line".
That was my biggest letdown lol.

The 13 Pro is the best mountain sled to ever hit the snow (oops, better put IMO in there lol) so are we in the market for any old "all-new-sled" or a perfect mountain sled?
Perfection comes after refinement and it's way easier if you start with the bar as high as the 11 Pro. The rest are STILL catching up. Pretty awesome.
My dream has been to get a pull and go mountain sled out of the box (then I`ll dick with it lol.). Every one will have a bit of a different picture of this sled in their mind.
The 13 pro has lived up to that standard for me. A sled tough enough for me and better than me.
After almost a season, it is in better structural and mechanical condition than any sled I have ever owned before. I know it is cause I pay attention.

13 or 14? Hmmm, I like that option,,, without the need.

I enjoy riding this sled more than any I have owned. It still has many things that need improvement, in my not so humble opinion every new model year should be used to fix and improve your product. Taking a year off just means you got lazy, or the bean counters won, or both!

I don't think there is an acceptable reason not to make every effort to improve your product from year to year. Most of the improvements I would want would require very little capitol investment, so i don't think money or the economy can be used as an excuse to take a year off.

If that is true, one would think they would be informing the new perspective customer that said "problems" have been addressed. :face-icon-small-sho

They won't say anything about it... They'll fix it, or what they think is a fix, just to avoid admitting they had a problem. I bet we start seeing superseded parts available, and repairs to '13 models with said parts. They'll chalk it up as a supplier issue, and say the newer parts are better than the old ones, but say the old ones were still good.

Mysteriously, 13 issues, will stop being evident with the 14 I bet

Same as geo my 13 pro 800 retro best sled ever owned. Rocks, stumps, and hard full throttle landings, with zero qd and a arm issues currently at 500mi.

not dissappointed .... maybe

I would have been completely satisfied with BNG's and small refinements this year EXCEPT a friend of mine who races for Polaris said that Polaris was aiming for a 400 lb sled which got my hopes up thinking there were going to be some changes for this year. Maybe he's off a year? No idea.

Rumors!! Dam their sorry hides!! :face-icon-small-ton

As for me, I'm snow checking an orange one!

The pics show the old style a-arms and the driveshaft (I'm told) is described in the specs using the same term they used in '11 and '12.

Of course we all know that pictures and brochure description are all "subject to change" by release date.

"They won't say anything about it... They'll fix it, or what they think is a fix, just to avoid admitting they had a problem."

If they really think that way then they don't understand marketing their product at all. Absolutely everyone knows about the problems in the snowmobile community, if you want future sales then you have to let your customers know the problem has been addressed, marketing 101. That's why ostrich's make such lousy marketing executives.
