You gotta be kidding me!.....I've saved thousands of $$$ from the swapmeet section alone over the years. Not to mention all the info, r&d, set-up tips, some of which are "priceless" I can't believe some peeps are whining.

this is one of the worst parts about it. For whatever variety of reasons the traffic is dismal. And with the lost traffic (read threads/posts) is much of the "priceless" material those posts contained. I don't think the forum traffic "in season" has ever been like this since I have been viewing the site (2003).
I think it is gonna get worse too.....

Well the golf course is open, and the farmers fields are just about dry enough to start scratchin, and it's 17 degrees C today. Maybe people have given up on winter already. I almost did, except that 50cm that just fell an hour away needs some tracks on it. Just waiting for the sun to shine.
It has been a pretty crappy year so far in most parts of the US. We are at 25% of our normal snowpack here in Washington.

I can't even remember a year with this little snowpack around here. Been a bad year for sure........hopefully next year we get MAJOR pow!!
It's been so dry already in the woods that the FS is definitely worried about fires. We don't usually see the ground so dry so early, and it's been that way for weeks in some areas.

There are lots of people looking in here....and thats the problem.
The main chunk of users, who posted daily and provided the content that brought in more users, have left. Even if it was mindless drivel or non snowmobile related info it was the backbone of the site and as of right now it is non existent.

Snow and mud BCR its all slow no one is posting,bad winter and peeps are not into riding as much maybe. I think snow west is still the busiest out of the bunch though.At least you can post something here and get a answer that day. Wasn't snow and mud asking for donations for the site a while back? lol
Agreed, I've noticed at other sites that they aren't nearly as busy as SW.....pretty bad!
The site has sucked since the changes and mostly everyone I know has moved on. There used to be about 10 of us at work that went on at a regular basis and they don't even open the site anymore.
There used to be 8 to 10 new pages in the general section 5 years ago if you waited to check it at the end of the day. There is no info anymore on the site to give a person a reason to log in.

It's still is a very good site......just not a great one anymore......could be the weather.....time will tell.....it always does.

I think it is that most people are in the spring mood ( Boats, four wheeler, Motor cycles) That is why it is slow. We have not really rode for about 3 weeks now, there is snow but it is rock hard every where. No fun when it is like that. I have not been on a lot lately because of the spring and summer hobbies are kicking in on me too. I hate it because the snow is my fav. thing to ride on. SW still gets my vote everyday and twice on sunday!!

The way I've been looking at it is I have to draw the line somewhere. I pay about $20.00/year for NRA, $40.00/year archery club, $30.00/year mining assoc., several kiddie organization's they think they need to belong to, about $100/year. $20.00/week almost all year long for track meets, basketball games, football games, volleyball games, soccer games. I've simply reached the point where enough is enough and $20.00/year for snowest may never happen. I enjoyed the heck out of it, but I'll simply view what I can for free.
