Would you rent a Nitro?

Would you rent a Nytro?

I am thinking of adding a couple of Nytro’s to my sled collection. Do you guys think this would be a trouble free sled to rent out? I have no Yamaha’s yet but have heard good reports on them. Are there any issues with a stock Nitro? Might put a turbo on one of them and run low boost...for renting. I’ve rode a couple of them on boost and liked them a lot but have heard the stock ones are quite underpowered.

There are 2 guys in Revy who rent them and one in Calgary. All stock and the customers love coming home not smelling like a chainsawwww.;)
Go for it.
Actually I would consider renting a boosted one with low boost to experienced riders. You would need to charge a premium though. But you would probably get some business.:)

I rented a nytro in the snowies last year and it seemed way underpowered for any sort of hill climbing even small hills. It was decent on the trails and offtrail riding. So a boosted Nytro rental with some extra power would be nice but could also end up getting some into trouble :)

do it

There is a rental shop in town (800's and apex's go for around 200-240/day) here and he says the biggest problem with renting yamaha sleds is the wear on the sliders they eat sliders that was the only bad thing. As for a boosted nytro to rent :D where, when and how much !!!! i know lots of guys who love to try a boosted sled.

You got me thinking “boost”. Definitely for the experienced rider. There probably would be the odd guy get in trouble but that’s the risk with any sled. I could put a “no climbing or tree riding” sticker on the hood! Lol.
I wonder why the sliders are wearing out on them any worse than other sleds.

i would have loved to rent a boosted sled before i bought mine . As for wearing sliders just order a set of rails that use Doo or polaris sliders they'll pay for them selfs in a few low snow rides , or you could run scratchers although its probley not the best idea on rentals lol .

Make sure there clutched right,, and make sure the skis are set up so that the dartiness is minimal.. Oh and make sure they have a good shovel cause if there in the deep stuff they'll need it..

I was thinking the same thing, 12#'s boost pump premo or av gas. Would be good for yami business. All i need is two Nytros sponsored by Yamaha? ;):p I would accept parts donations from aftermarket companies wanting to showcase their products. 25% would be donated to charity, to the IMSICK Foundation !! lol :face-icon-small-win

Go To the Graphite Yamaha sliders -- they cost a couple bucks more than stock and last almost for ever . Done :rolleyes:
It is no big deal. just do it and forget about it.
And break the sliders in after install.
