would you buy the nitro again?

at this point yes i would buy it again. i knew going in that i would give up some performance, and thought i would have more time to get the weight off. the toruqe is better then i thought it would be, and that is all i cared about when i decided to buy one, they are possibly the best meadow sled ever built, but i need to get mine where it wont sink in the trees, i tested it the other day on a moderate hill semi packed and it held 44 mph, its my first yamaha so im trying to learn the best setups for them. they are fun to ride

Linc I bought it nowing it was going to need some changes done to it. I have all the stuff to do it track tunnel front and rear suspension. Just to busy at work and now room in the shop. I work for Timbersled products. As for mini her and her husband are good friends And ride with me alot and they ride cats and I rode a cat before the Nytro I don't hate the nytro just think yamaha could have done a better job on the track and tunnel.

Foresure.. needs a few add ons not a big deal.. 162 tracks going in,, floats are on the front ohlins in the rear.. gave it a 40 hp shot.. This sleds a blast and keeps getting better the more I break it in..

Yup,I don't disagree the engineers that built the Apex must not have handed over the info on how good the 16 wide track works,by the way you guys make some fine products down there.

Saayy,,,didn't you just ***** me out on the Doo side?? Ha ha ha

my buisness had a very good year so i thought i deserved 2 new sleds instead of my normal new one every year so xp x 154 and blue nytro with reverse, i wouldnt own another without reverse no matter what the weight

Does the nitous work good where do you mount the bottle. whos kit are you running

Its a boondocker synergy kit with the adjustable regulator.. Excellent fit and the control box is gonna come in handy for other mods.. The 3lb bottle fits right in the nose area...

Oh ya! I bought a nitro mtx and phaxer mtx. I have over 399 miles so far. Both have exceeded my expectations. If I could only buy one, it would be the nitro. I bought the phazer for the wife. Here is why I would buy the nitro again:

1. It pulls hard
2. It handles great in the powder.
3. It starts every time.
4. It doen't stink.
5. It is a blast to ride.
6. It hauls ***.
7. It has reverse.
8. I ride a variety of conditions (powder, trails, but mostly moutain conditions) and it does well in all.
9. It sounds cool.
10. It has never failed me.

Reverse & electric start

blue nytro with reverse, i wouldnt own another without reverse no matter what the weight

Dude, I hear ya there, reverse and electric start = giant $hit eating grin...

The nytro keeps getting better and better as I get it broken in, but since the pow is like 3 miles from my house, I'm having a hard time accumulating miles. Lots of hours, playing in the powder (and track spinning miles) but I have yet to hit 200 miles on the machine, and I've been out almost every day since I picked it up.

The motor seems SUPER tight at first and was a sincere disappointment at first power wise, but has broken loose more and has become much more fun.

I'm hitting around 8200-8300 on straight climbs in the powder, but I can't find a smooth enough straightaway to see what RPM's I'm getting at WOT on the flats but I'd like another 400-500 RPM in the powder, but I'm sure when I've hit 500-1000 miles it'll be that much better.

Best part, parking the sled in the driveway, walking in the house and being able to keep the clothes I had on before the ride ON, without pissing off the wife by smelling up the whole house.

To answer the question, I'd definitely buy the Nytro again, over and over at this point...maybe another one next year for the wife.

I am a doo guy right now and rode a nytro with a cr tunnel. Awsome handling for a four stroke. Definately felt heavier than my rev, and the stock skis suck, but other than that I can see myself on one next year. The extra weight is well worth the gains. The cr tunnel sucks for ice build up so look into getting something better. Other than that, beauty!

This weekend, my local dealer gave me a new Nytro, and Mt. Phazer to demo for 2 days. Nytro had 11 miles on it when we started. It now has a "few" more.

As a die hard 2 stroke rider, let me just say my M7 lost some of it's appeal this weekend. That Nytro is the easiest boondocking sled I've ridden in stock form. Love, love, love, the front end. Carving S's down hill has never been easier. Same with sidehilling. Not a fan of the feel from the rear though. The front floats. The rear doesn't. Power is S W E E T, and I'd wager the torque curve is really a flat line. Since I wear a pack, the lack of a trunk isn't an issue, but a little storage space would be nice. The M7 spanked it on the big climbs, but I kept wanting to ride the nytro. I'm buying one next year, and am a new 4 stroke convert. Anybody got one with a turbo I can demo?

Now for the Mt. Phazer. I'd need a lifetime supply of Ridalin if I owned one. My riding buddy told me I looked like a pinball whenever I was one it. FUN at levels I'd forgotten about. Reminds me of a Trail 550, but even more fun in the powder if that's possible with an underpowered sled. Tippy on the trails to the point I'd increase the ski stance when my 9 year old rides it, but he will learn to boondock on that sled. I'm not normally a jumper, but it's impossible not too on it. I'm buying one now.

Can't afford both at once or the dealer would need new demo's as of tomorrow.

Anyone that rides a nytro that has less than 200 miles on it should reserve judement on the motor untill it has a chance to loosen up. It pulls much harder after a little break in.

Does a Bear Poop in the Woods?

Another vote for buying the Nytro again! The potential of this sled is mind boggling, especially with boost. It does need a better track, but I love the handling and reliability is excellent. I would buy another in a heartbeat. In fact, I'm planning to get a second one for the wife within a year. She wants a 4 stroker and is too much of an adrenaline junkie for a Phazer. She has already proven she can handle the Nytro by riding mine in all kinds of situations and conditions.

When??

Anyone that rides a nytro that has less than 200 miles on it should reserve judement on the motor untill it has a chance to loosen up. It pulls much harder after a little break in.

So when is it really loose? I know my dealer wants mine back at 500 miles for the 1st oil change, etc. but at 250 miles, the max rpm's are below the level I'd like to see in the pow on climbs.

I'm not sure what else they're gonna do at 500 miles, maybe some clutching too. I may have them switch the track out for an Extreme at the same time, I don't know...

tnx

p.s. I'd buy two again, given the chance...

If your motor is only pulling 8200 RPM your are loosing out on the top end big time. Get that thing running around 88to 8900 and the grin on your face will be way bigger.
Oh and a turbo on this thing makes it an animal! Instantly cures the few extra pounds this thing has because they are all of a sudden gone. Once you stop shaking from the power you will not be able to stop smiling.

Eludnu, my sons, myself and my whole family were impressed with your willingness to help on his M7 over the weekend at Paulina. On behalf of my boys, nieces and nephews, thanks alot.
