Umm that ain't no D6 man. Probably a D10R or D11R. If memory serves me right that was on a mine site around Ft. Mac.

Actually, that is a D8. The machine is called a bagger 288 It was built in Germany, and took a 22 km trek to it's coal mining destiny.

The athabasca tar sands don't use the bucketwheel and conveyor system anymore... too costly. Shovels and Heavy haulers are much more cost effective.
