Working on Nytrocity this summer

id rather not post that right now, i may once i finally hear from them and get it resolved. i try to give people the benefit of the doubt as things do happen.

Big box just arrived from SPG with my upgraded A-Arm Hiem Joints in it!

Mine arrived as well and hats off to SPG .... they turned them around in 10 days.....including the usual hold up at customs!

Hey Christopher. Don't sweat a tunnel removal, it's pretty easy. Around a dozen rivets and 8 bolts and it slides right out. It goes back in just as easily and can be done by one person.

The only tricky part is draining your cooling system....but sounds to me like you have that problem taken care of already...LOL

I pressure tested mine last winter and used the small 1/4" fitting on the tunnel cooler hose. Very quick to adapt to my compressor.

OTM

Hmm
I thought someone else had suggested it was a MAJOR PITA to remove and replace the tunnel.

But it would be SO COOL to get it powdercoated Nytro Blue.

If you get started on it now, you might have it back together by the time the snow flies.....:face-icon-small-hap

Not sure if I am up to that task or not this summer.
Would be VERY easy to just re-polish the tunnel once again.

Found the coolant leak tonight.
Not sure how but the main hose clamp on the rear Jose coupling to the tunnel cooler had come completely off the hose and slid back to the bulkhead

For the life of me I can't get the fuel tank back on the sled.
Something is stopping it from meeting up with the tank bolts and I can't figure it out.

Beats me.
I have had this tank on and off the sled a half dozen times with NO issue at all.
Now it won't fit even close.
Something is stopping it from sliding forward under the frame hoop at the front, so that the tank screws never get close to the mounting holes in the tank at the bottom.

I am missing something.
Hope to find it tonight.

Loosen the steering gate off, slide the tank on then tighten the gate back up. Those tanks can be a PITA one day and fine the next, I think they must expand. Maybe put it in the freezer to shrink it, I'm sure the wife won't mind.
