Wolf Creek conditions

From Matt Entz's FB page today:

Yeah I just saw that on Boondocker's Facebook page. There was another post on Facebook by Burandt that I'm pretty sure was from up at Wolf Creek too. That looks pretty decent for early season conditions. Guess I'm heading up there on Saturday. At the least I'll get my news pistons and rings broken in, or something broken in or broken!

There is riding to be done, but many obstacles to be aware of. The more fun you're having, the bigger risk you're taking. That being said, I did enjoy my first stuck of the season today :)

Looking forward to seeing you guys in Durango next Thursday night!

So I got up there today and rode for about 4 1/2 hours. The snow was pretty decent for early November. Didn't wreck anything, but definitely hit a few hidden obstacles. It was getting a little warm by the time we left around 2:30, but anything in the shade was still pretty fluffy. I'd guess they got about 24" or so.

Definitely worth the 90 minute drive. Don't know if I'd have driven much further than that to ride it. Going up to Molas tomorrow.

Will definitely be at seminar on Thursday. Saw that one a while back, should be a good one.

What else you got to do this time of year besides snowmobile and replace a-arms? If you make it out this way give me a call or PM me. A couple of more storms and it should be pretty good.

Thanks, will do!

Joel is bullish for Tuesday, but he thinks more north. Maybe it will track south and fill in some more this week?

Probably need to narrow up my front end anyways, but fixing an arm wasn't much fun on the Doo.

So when is the BBQ? This weekend, next weekend, which day? Might go up there and ride anyhow after the snow this week.

Sorry^^, I missed it trying to read it on my cell phone. Sunday the 15th. You couldn't have been any more clear.

I went back up and rode today. Even with the 10" they got this past week the snow wasn't noticeably better. Still pretty thin in spots, but it is November riding. If anyone cares the groomer was out hitting the trails. Supposed to start snowing tonight-fingers crossed that WC gets 2' or so. At least I got the break in done on my new top end.
