There is a lot of difference in the sound and the peak frequencies between a two stroke and four stroke. Two strokes are a lot higher in tune and are more rappy. Just take a two stroke and four stroke dirt bike side by side.

RPM has a major effect on noise. 2's are spun faster in general then 4's. Look at Formula 1 racing. They are simply 2.4L V8's naturally aspirated and the noise those things wale out is louder then a fighter jet taking off. It's just a product of RPM and frequency.

I can See this 2 a Point. What i dont get is that people have to Floor it out in the parking lot. I dont care how your sled sounds. mine is preety loud. but I dont go Wot till im at least 200 ft from the lot. If you want a good can and keep it quiet. get Slp.

I agree, the anti-access eco-extremists who make their living off the donations of uninformed feel good goobers will never stop winning the PR war by showing video of stupidly loud sleds to people who will never see a sled... I just don't understand why some snowmobilers insist on helping them...

Totally agree !!! Lets use a little common sense, I do not start my sleds up in the middle of the night to wake up the whole neighborhood and if I am leaving early in the morning I make sure to have them loaded the day before and there is nothing I hate worse than someone on a PLR (parking lot racer) honing his skills in the lot!
