Priest Lake trail maps I have at the lodge. But look up Priest lake grooming there should be one on the web page. We bost 400 miles but groom 300 on a set time the rest as needed.

out of bonners there is some good riding up at a place called deer creek right before the border. Basically you are in the Idaho, Montana, BC border.

there is also some good riding out of sandpoint and out of troy Montana, the yaak is pretty close also.

One of the best rated places in the west is McCall

The McCall area is continuing to improve their great services for us sledders. The State is supporting us with new groomers, (two this year), and more parking north of town. We are working on improving the signage and maps and have the best off trail riding in the west.

You can ride on West Mountain just south of Cascade northward past the two ski hills to where you can look down into the Salmon River, a distance of about 66 miles, as the crow flies. Or you can go east to Yellow Pine or on over to the Stanley Basin or west to the New Meadows area. Elevation changes from 5000 feet up to 8000 feet and the snow is deep and steep. There are over 500 miles of groomed trails to get you out into the best hill climbing, boon docking country around. We have bowls that are just fantastic all around the area. Wong's Bowl is the most famous one.

The town has all the services and is real friendly to us. Just be sure and buy a sticker for your sled if you are from out of state and designate area 43A. It goes into the grooming program to buy the fuel for the machines. The local merchants contribute funds know as "adopt a trail" which helps also buy fuel to extend the grooming for over 3 weeks each year. (guestimate).

The McCall Snowmobile Club is real important in gathering these fund and supporting the program with volunteers operating and maintaining the machines, clearing trails, shuttling groomer operators with over 1500 hours of support each year. I figured a few years ago that it cost about $16.00/mile to groom so the $$'s go pretty fast. One machine sticker covers about two miles of grooming and we put a lot of hours on each machine each year.

There is always someone looking for a partner to ride with. Post when you are going to be riding. I always go with someone as I am getting up there in years and getting unstuck is always a big challenge.

Come join us in McCall, it is only a short drive and you will come back.

Spud.

You can go shredding right out the front door. Awesome
