windshield bag question

HEy there, so i have posted a few times, mostly in regards to getting advice for my voltage regulator, but im fairly new to sleding, Rode lots but now own my first sled,

anyways my question is, im wanting a bag for my sled, and was thinking of a windsheild bag, as at the back of my sled there is a small rack but im wanting to put a small jerry can there>

I noticed that there are two vents under my windsheild and was wondering if by putting a bag that is intended to go there, will it effect the cooling of my sled, Im assuming thats what those vents are for, Am I correct?

my sled is an 03 summit

thanks...

Depending on what you want to carry in there. Might want to look into a handlebar bag or even a cargo caddy that goes on your clutch cover. I had a handlebar bag last year and it got annoying, so I just store what was needed in my backpack and other items in under my seat and in my cargo caddy. I dont think it would hurt it any by having a dash bag there. Could be wrong..

:)

I had one on my '02 summit that fit between the vents. Things will stay nice and warm in the bag due to under hood temps. Sandwich was starting to toast a couple of times (not brown but starting to crisp).

The two vents under the corners of the windshied are the intake. If riding in powder you will want to keep snow brushed out of there and smack them a few times when you stop to get the snow off the foam.
