Will the Rev XP tracks work on the older Rev?

Just bought an 07 Rev last weekend. It is only a 144. Which doesn't bother me to bad but would like to on day put more meat under it. Thinking of getting a 154 track off of an XP. Will that work? Did they change the pitch or anything when they came out with the XP.

The 07 has a 2.52" pitch track, whereas the XP has a 2.86" pitch. There are drivers available to make the swap very easy.

Best getting a 156X2.5 and 7 tooth Avid 3 in. pitch drivers.Un- beatable setup in that size. All XP tracks are Cheese graded except a 2011 and horrible compared the the extreme camo.

If I went with the 7 tooth 3 pitch drivers would i have to change the gearing? Is there much difference between 156x2.5 3 pitch and the 155x2.5 2.86 pitch camo xtreme? Was thinking of going with 8 tooth 2.86 drivers because they are close to the same size as the 9 tooth 2.52 stock drivers. Plus could buy a nice used XP track for half price of a new xtreme. Then when I can afford a new xtreme next year i can drop it in. Good idea or not.

Probably should change gearing anyway, with either driver.
I've heard the 2.86 pitch is quieter than the 3. My 3 pitch is noisy and vibrates the running boards at certain speeds.
Another problem is a 2.5 track will be very tight in front with the larger drivers.
