When a new sled comes out and the hype starts from magazine adds dyno reports ect ect., i dont believe much until its on the snow. This sled may go a bit better than last year and if so not a whole bunch imo. Nice machine for sure guys dont get me wrong the silver looks out right mean.

So the 20-30 ride reports here don't hold any water in your opinion? What about the Swedes and their videos? A bit better is an understatement for pure uphill shots and silly steep sidehilling. It's also not an IQ/Raw. Find a buddy with one, go ride it, and then figger out where to find 10 large. :-)

I have already had the pleasure of test riding them and I will tell you what ever the hps are they have enough power for most, the pro made me dislike riding the 2010 dragon.

poo still no go!!

by dtr dyno results the poo is way behind the doo,cat and now the yammi.all three of those sleds have dynoed over160+ h.p and the best the poo has seen is 145-147.maybe the mexico motors will put out more d.p(donkey power):face-icon-small-hap

To 08renny what are you smoking the only motors polaris will build in mexico
are for the atv and utvs snowmobile engines are going back to factory
in the great north I ll bet the sleds will run great and more attention
was put on strenght not hp!! IMO

that is true....hell the rmk doesn't even have power steering. My sorces tell me that next years yamaha will come with a high lift jack and a little asian kid to help you dig...

Sleds have now been delivered..... what are customer sleds, not validation sleds actually putting out for power?

I love how people are predicting the reliability of something no one's owned yet......make a thread asking what sled from 2001 was the most reliable and you won't get a straight answer from the forums, but we can predict the future? C'maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

They have no midrange bog or runability issues whatsoever. I've put many miles on the new 800 in rush, switchback, and rmk trim at low and high altitudes and it runs great.

All the reliability issues with the old 800 have been fixed.

^I would love to see this video where you thought you "clearly heard" a bog. Please show me.

Kool aid anyone?

Some people really can't take a joke.

I put a lot of miles on several of the demo sleds and couldn't find any bog or mid range issues. I held one at 6250 RPM at 6700ft alt (mccall id) for well over two miles trying to kill it. Didn't work. Also tinkered around all throughout engagement and rolling speed through the mid range on the trail attemping to find any spot along the midrange band were it would lay down or not respond. I could find a backshift spot but it wasn't a fuel bog. It didn't matter if you eased into it or hammered it. At least at the alt's and air conditions that we got to play on these sleds they worked great.

We also took a demo and rode it at 7500 ft and it was 70* that day! Once again the sled ran consistantly good and wasn't starving for performance like some setups when you go that far out of their ideal tuning range.

Now we have to go out and ride the production buggies and see if they respond in the same way. Stay tuned as it isn't supposed to snow for about a month or two. We have to parage them through the sled show circuit THEN WE GET TO HAVE SOME REAL FUN.
