Will I see a difference in the Matryx vs Axys performance in a sks 146 650?

Huh?

all the suspension components are the same so i'm sure you wont notice a world of difference, can't speak from too much experience or any trail riding, but i hop on my axys to matryx and am super comfortable hopping back onto the axys, unlike hopping on an axys to a pro

or does it really only matter in the high end RMK pro sleds?
Probably one of those personal preference things again but like the other fella said its not like going from the Pro to the Axys kind of difference, but, my own opinion, the first time I got on the Matryx and then got back on my Axys I immediately was like yeah I'm buying a Matryx, but going back and forth between them is very easy. Performance wise very similar but more comfortable, more rider friendly. But again, that's my own opinion.

So M....your axys is actually more comfortable than the matryx? What sleds do you have? I have heard the matryx are really "rider forward" vs the axys.
oh diffidently not more into the axys, but my buddies ride skidoo and pro rmks (12-15) and hoping on those sleds vs the axys is like un rideable for the first 10 minutes in the trees, the axys to matryx feel the closest of two sleds i've ridden

I ordered a matryx after riding one tho. that slash tunnel and 7s display and factory boost sell themselve lol

I have a 650 Sks and the motor is fantastic. A lot more torque and different powerband than the old 600. From the time I’ve spent on the axys sleds, not much difference in ride quality or handling. But it is a comfortable cockpit and the storage is a lot better too.

I’m debating the 2024 650 SKS 146 that base price is on point, great engine, revs up quick, fuel economy isn’t as good as a Doo 600R but very close.

Fuel economy on a sled?

I guess I have different priorities. I don't care how much fuel it burns as long as I'm burnt out on a tank a day.

My truck that I drive every day? I kinda care, but my toys are for fun! They're not for economics.

Yes fuel economy on a sled is kind of a must for us out here in western Alaska. $7+/gal of gas, many of us drive to and from work daily, long hunting n trapping miles during the winter. I’ve gotten 13-21mpg just depends on snow conditions with my 650 and I’d say 13-18mpg with my 850 on 120-235 mile day trips

On the trail, sitting on the seat, u will be hard pressed to notice a difference between matryx and Axys.

Off trail deep snow, they feel similar, but the Matryx is definitely more capable.

Fuel mileage is of no concern to mountain riders and quite important to trail riders.

Mountain riders get 3.5-5.5mpg and trail riders with the same engine will get at least 3x that.
