I had to buy some climbing rope for my recoil and I was dreading having to deal with the enviro whackos that run most of these kind of shops. I was refused service one time at Mountain Equipment Co-op because I am a sledder.
Anyways, before the owner cut the rope, I tell him it is for my snowmobile recoil. he was perfectly OK with that, in fact he owns a dirt bike. He knows all about the enviro whackos at most shops and they beat on him as much as they beat on us.
I ended up buying a back pack that is perfect for sledding. Nicest one I have seen yet (Black Diamond). He has a few of last years' model left over and he is selling them for $60 which is a great deal for a very high end back pack.
