Why not buy a new sled ??

I want to sell my 04 MC 900 159" and get a 09-10 M8 153 or 162.
Anyone have a great reason not to? I'm really on the fence on this one.

Here is my logic. If I was to sell my 04 king or 04 900efi I would get around 3000. They just arnt going for much right now. Not alot of people buying and LOTS of people selling. Ok, so lets say I clear 3000. A New sled is around $10,000. 10,000 - 3,000 = 7000. Now, I ride with m1000s m8 dragon 800s and 700s XPs and revs. There is not a single one of them that is 7000 dollars better then my 04 900 162 on the mountain. I mean, for another 7000 I would expect it to go higher faster and easier. Yeah a guy that weighs 60lbs lighter then me and a xp 154 can climb about 20 feet higher then me on the first run. So is 20 feet on the mountain worth $7000 ? I don't think so. A good running 900 will give the new sleds fits.

I had a new '09 M-8 Sno-pro last year.

It was cool. I sold it and back riding the King Cat. Yeah, I like the handling of the M, But the King goes higher and faster. Now I ride with all of my buddies with $8,000 to buy beer with.

my brother just got a m1000 and my king has the same hp thanks to slp twins but i have had mine for a year and feel it is already more reliable seeing how his blew up after 4 rides lol and sure he has reverse but hell i dont need it i just go over the top

Went to the M site recently, was not impressed with ALL the questions being asked about this or that and, why the d/d is losing bearings and a host of other problems. Outside the d/d issues, I would like an M chassis with a carbed 900 in it. If the M chassis is truely that much better. Shock valving on a 1M can do wonders for an ill handling suspension..
