Why is Mitt Romney Mad at Me?
January 15, 2008 at 10:50 pm
Has anyone else noticed that Mitt Romney is mean? All the debates and interviews I see him in leave me with the uneasy feeling that he’s someday going to go off and backhand somebody.
Now I don’t really have any feelings about him as a candidate, I’m not voting for him but I’m not going to say I hate him either (like I hate McCain, Guiliani, and Huckabee), and I still listen to what he has to say. Whenever he talks though, he takes on the tone of someone who is about to fly off the handle! Whenever he starts to answer a question I cower like a dog who gets hit a lot, just waiting for his anger to escalate into a full blown slap.
I don’t know if anyone caught Nightline last night, but it was the same thing. He was mean! The interviewer would ask him a question and almost every time he would either angrily say he wasn’t going to answer her question, or defensively provide and explanation to various issues and/or accomplishments. Good for you for lowering insurance costs in Massachussetts Mitt-Man, I would cut my fees too if I had you encouraging me to do so through clenched teeth! Relax man, we don’t hate you- we’re just asking you questions! I’m sorry!
But I just think that his tone is probably really bad for his campaign, if I was supporting him and then saw him up there white-knuckling his podium during debates and saw his eyes turning black as he ground his teeth while being interviewed I would perhaps look into some other candidates. I don’t want a President who is going to get mad at me for asking him a question, eventually turning his head around 360 degrees!
Mitt- if you’re reading this (oh and I’m sure you are) just calm down and work on your tone. What are you so angry about!?
