I'm perfectly happy. I have almost as many rides on my dirtbike as I had on my sled.
I'm a powder snob and I'll happily admit it. I hate crusty, hard snow or slush. I don't enjoy it and most of my friends that I ride don't either. But we all have Spring, Summer and Fall hobbies that keep us going. Not a single person I know "sits" on a couch all summer, but there seem to be a chit pile of critics that blast those who bag it when the snow turns rotten. I shoot, do archery, riode the ATVs on family rides, ride alot of the backcountry on single track, take my kids fishing, camp, starting in late July I start scouting for elk and in September I bowhunt all month. My friends hike, camp, run the crawlers on jeep trails or some work so much in the summer because that's when their construction window is.
Did the season suck? F*ck yeah it did. The 500(ish) miles I rode were fun and almost close to ideal conditions. I don't regret them but it sucked that normal riding habits didn't matrialize.
