Why I love Sledding!

Sunshine, blue sky, Fresh untracked snow.............what more could a person wish for. oh ya, bikini clad women sunning themselves off to the right. but guess we can't have everything.

I love days like those, unfortunately it's been overcast every trip out this year, but the sunshine will come. At least we have had fresh snow every trip which kinda makes up for the lack of sunshine and bikinis.

Yeah lots of snow, so stumps are way down, I use a point and shoot canon 1000 $189.00 future shop and brad who took all the later ones uses a 10x zoom point and shoot like a mini slr but not as fancy.....we are simple kids...no fancy gear just like to get good shots so we spend the time before puting them away and rooopin it up...dave

I once sat through a seminar, ONCE.... put on by Amway.... Ok, I was tricked.... but I came out of it with this one phrase; "Why should you work during the best years of your life?" And ever since I started sledding, it has come back to play in my mind over and over....

Not that I would sell Amway, but dammit, there has to be a better way to earn a living instead of being a M-F/9-5 sucka!

Just say no to Job!

Don't think of them as the titles. Buy them or go to the library and book them out. In fact if you do get from the library you will want to buy it to keep it on hand as go to book. Some amazing insight in there....

This is only my 3rd season with a sled and I now wonder what my life would have been like without ever trying this awesome sport. The people I have met the feelings of riding on a sick powder day are so wicked....I know I will never not have a sled and be out there. Ride on!

I'll have a look... I guess I shouldnt leave the first book on my desk at work though...

My Dad bought a couple of sleds 4 years ago. Summit and a Renegade. Uses them to drag a track maker for his cross country skis. He's a cross country skier now, used to race for UBC Ski Team... I think he and some others started it...He's also Heli skied in BC, and used STOL planes for skiing in Utah.

I have always wanted a sled, and after spending a few weekends up at his house I knew I needed a sled.
I have shown him pictures of our adventures in the Whistler area, and I think he is coming down in the spring with his Summit 800 for a ride up Brandywine or Rutherford.
Dad turned 81 this past December. GO DAD!!!!
