Why do all gloves suck A$$

Noticed my Arctic Cat gloves, one short ride and the seam on one finger is starting to rip, 1/2" long already. WTF $70 gloves that are going after one ride. Does anyone know if they will actually warranty these? I'm frigging pissed, my Dakine gloves got wet pretty easy, but they lasted a whole season and didn't rip for half the price

well you just answered your own question, you should of saved your money and got another pair of dakine gloves......

True North Adventure Storm gloves. Outside can be SOAKED/FROZEN and your hands are always warm and dry. Best gloves out there period.

I agree with the True North Storm gloves. Hands down the best glove I have bought to date. Excellent glove for less money then klim and the crappy MFG's gloves. :D

Well the reason I tried these is they seemed really warm which they are, and they come up on the wrists real well, the dakines were kind of small and a bit chilly, they don't make XXL. They were also not a leather palm so that's why they got wet so quick, and these are so again figured they would be better. They worked very good and I was happy with them until I seen the rip.

favorite glove?

Hey, Mule. Is that your favorite glove? Does it keep you from getting wet? Are the fingers cold? LOL!:D:D:D That was a good one, Mule! Props to you.

cabelas motorsport gloves keep you dry! but only lasted one season, but for $40 that aint that bad

I'm pretty happy with everything I own gear wise, everything is KLIM.

But, their gloves suck just like everyone elses. I've learned to just deal with it.

All right guys. Here you go. Save some money and lose your frustration. Go to sams club (or any hardware store) and buy some insulated leather gloves, put them in the microwave for 30 seconds then lather them up with sno seal. ONLY USE SNO SEAL. Repeat for a couple hours. You will then have a cheap, durable, waterproof and windproof glove. I don't do this because it is cheap. Winter gear and clothing is something I never cut corners on. I do it because they work so well and are super comfortable. They are great for all winter work. Plus most ski patrollers actually use this type of glove, although the marmots mentioned above are great, (I have two pairs) they are too bulky. If you don't sno seal them they will get wet and soaked.

In the picture is a pair over two years old and still going strong. Also a new pair that I am just waterproofing with the sno seal.

Y'all can thank me later;) Seriously they are awesome.

I just bought a pair of the Castle Launch gloves...first ride with them this weekend. I'll let you know what I think.

I hated my castle x gloves.. really great for the first ride. Then my hands would sweat so bad and not breath at all.

I finally spend $80 for the Klim Powercross glove. I'll test them out this weekend. But all gloves are going to get wet in powder and when you get stuck/ help some get unstuck.

I too have piles of gloves and mitts. Up here the issue is rarely wet but brutal cold (-38 F outside right now) but my best luck has been with a pair of Burtons Snowboarding gloves. Just started falling apart this year after 7 years. That is after riding or boarding everyday for long seasons. Sadly, they don't make them anymore and everything else I buy is only so so and wear out in one season or less. They were unbelievable. RIP.

I have yet to see any snowmobile specific brand clothing be anyware near as good as the mountaineering equipment.Got a pair of OR outdoor research ice climbing gloves 7 years ago for christmas they have removeable liners triple gore tex and your hands will never be cold or wet again. I wore the gloves for 5 years for everything from sledding to toboganning to shoveling the driveway, the mesh liner started to fall apart from age, use and and sweat so I took them back to where I got them to see if they could be repaired because the rest of the glove was still real good.Dealer sent them back, about a week later he called and said come down and pick out a new pair of gloves OR is going to warranty them. The dealer said they don't make the exact same model anymore but they were the top of the line so pick anything you want out of the catalog and we'll order it.2 weeks later got new top or the line gloves been waring these for 2 years now still look like new.Theres not many companies out there that will warranty a product after 5 years of hard use no questions asked. These gloves are not cheap about $160.00 but in my opinion there well worth it for dry warm hands and when you look at the second pair was free under warranty that is $80.00 a pair and I think that cheap for the performance and longevity.

just ordered some tru north adventure storms from ebay. I hope to work better than my sukarse Klims. Klim rocks but their gloves dont last, they need to rethink them.

i just wear mechanic gloves or dirtbike gloves and i just turn the hand warmers on. i find they work alot better to hold on, then i also bring another pair of warmer gloves if i do get cold, but i only had that problem when i was riding in -37 celsius

Marmot Ski Gloves

I wear Marmot ski gloves and LOVE them. Last year while everybody else in my group complained about wet/cold hands, mine were nice and toasty. Even after they got soaked during the day, I'd still wear them on the trail home with no protection from the wind. They'd freeze, and I'd still be warm. They're extremely light and comfortable.

I carry two pair but I never have to use the back ups.

Well tested the Cat gloves out today, didn't last two hours of TRAIL riding and my hands were soaked. Would of needed 4 pairs to have dry hands all day  It didn't help that there was 3 newbies getting stuck every five feet but I was not impressed with them especially considering the price.

For those wearing the Castle...

They are the biggest waste of money IMHO.

I have a set, not sure which type, but my hands got wet, they made my hands stink like an old sneaker, and I tried to dry them, high heat all night long, and they were still wet inside. they have some non-breathable liner inside. they are total junk.

I have a set of Klim tog gloves, I like them I was surprisingly dry in them, not sure how long they will last though..

My Reimas lasted a few seasons, but I still had wet hands, had to switch out later in the day.

I got a new pair of True Adventure Gear Powder Storm gloves for this year. Third time out today and I got a hole in the right thumb getting the sled unstuck. I was/am dissapointed, the leather is too thin, reason for getting a hole so easy. My wife stitched it up when I got home, and it looks like it will hold.......we'll see. They are waterproof and keep my hands fairly warm, though my pinky fingers get cold not being on the handwarmers. My last pair was goosedown Gordini's that I bought for $30. They always kept my hands warm, and have a nylon shell that was fairly water resistant. I am never going to spend over $40 on gloves again. My bibs and coat are Cabelas Goretex with thinsulate. They are awesome, and my next gloves will be from Cabelas as well. It seems that you can get stuff from them that is high quality, but cheaper than KLIM, etc.
