Dude--where were ya--we put on 100 miles between friday night and saturday??
Rode from Powderboys place to the microwave tower friday night then 2 rides saturday--did some exploring back behind reload and then headed up towards the crossing from Kachess road to french cabin cross over--even did a little playing on the south end of the lake--We were thinking of ya!!

Next week!!

Okay--Time for a short story??

Do you all remember the storm of 88 when we got 18" the first of each month--Jan, Feb,March. Okay?! I was getting a bit cocky about riding the sled around the area--First kept it in the neighborhood--then started hitting the main 4 lane roads--then started making high speed runs late night.

Well needless to say--They had been looking for me:rolleyes: tracks all over the Renton highlands and reports of some sled going Mach 1 down the main roads passing cars (remember-I was younger then). Well--They eventually, during the March storm caught up to me:eek: Oops!!

A series of bad events happened all at once, I guess it was just a matter of before something gave up (I had not rejetted for lower elevation)

The officers had just radared me going 87MPH down a 5 lane road that had a speed limit of 45MPH without snow. Well the radioed ahead for any officer availible!! I was making some tracks and ready to peel off the main road and take the backroads to ditch the officer (that is all I thought I was contending with at the time) and there must have been a convention of officers down at the donut shop and they all bailed out of the shop or something!!

Of course what did I not do:confused: to the sled?? Rejet the sucker for almost sea level--Big oopser--The engine BLEW!! I did not even have time to bail and leave the sled--The officiers came out of the wood work--they were everywhere--You would have thought I had just robbed a bank and shot someone.

I was pinned to the ground and cuffed--Hauled to jail--sled impounded--and spent the weekend in jail!! It was a real expensive venture!! The WIFE was pissed off in a big way!! She had been telling me not to do it--was a bummer that she was right:eek:

Needless to say--I was locked up for the weekend--spent several trips to court and out of pocket expenses was around $2000 and that did not account for the engine I had to replace:mad:.

There--It is out of the bag Pinned W F O!!!

I can laugh now about this--But I can not imagine what they might do now to you--Probabley a Felony if you got caught doing this now!! You can not help but blow by the cars on the road--and they freak out when you blow by them!! It was great getting a glimpse of their expressions as you went by---LMAO.

And that is all I have to say about that:o

Oh--I will deny any knowledge of this ever happening---;)

H20SKE...

wow i just got back form 2-3 hours of ridding around fed way it was a blast:D
i had no idea that it was THAT big of deal if i got caught ridding my sled on the road. i mean i was thinkin maybe a 200-300$$ ticket and id be on my way. didnt think it would be impound+jail+court:(

It is up to the officer for sure--I have been spanked as well and just told to put it away. But also on the other hand--well you know the story.

By tomorrow we may not have to worry about any police--it will be deep enough they may be asking us for rides on our sleds to get around---LOL

Glad ya had fun!!! :)

Anyone know if a stock '06 800 Rev is jetted for sea level? I'm not sure what jets are in it from the factory.

Just work the throttle a bit to keep it cool--no long full throttle pulls--you should be okay--Not like you are pulling a mega hill under load--But do not hold in mid range either--that is were most meltdowns accure.

alright, H2Oske, I'll take your word for it and give it a shot. I've got serious cabin fever going on so I may do a little road trip from Covington to North Bend tomorrow via highway 18 !

..........Or not! My good sense will probably kick in by morning and I'll just spend another boring day at the house. I've got a pesky sinus issue the last few days anyway. .........sucks to be me!

Road the Dragon from Crown Hill to down town Ballard last night about 10:30PM. Had to pass a few cars rippin up 24th Ave. Folks were out partyin hard, lots of hoots, hollers, and camera flashes. Cop saw me as I crossed 15th but I didn't stick around to see if he tried to follow. Weaved around N Ballard til I was covinced it would be too hard to follow my tracks home. Locked it in the trailer and went back to the bar. Drank :beer; for free til close.

Some fun ****!!! :beer;

10 of us just got done riding all over clearview snohomish. Happen to come a across a school with a football field. 100 yard drags!!!

On Paul, H20SKE's behalf I just violated the Renton Highlands. Came across one Rentons finest in my journies, he flipped his lights on, I just pretended not to see him. He didn't even attempt to follow, And i was only going maybe 25mph down the street.

I think the lights was more to tell me he saw me and i should go put the sled away.

Sweet---I went for a burn or 2 up and down the road as well--was good--but I was staying real close to home and then swept in the tracks--

Yeah, It was still snowing and blowing when we went out so not long after we got back our tracks were covered.

Yeah, you guys rode by my house when I was out playing on my wifes 550.
Would of followed you up to the school but I had a few to many :beer; to leave my yard. I live just down the hill from that school and I could hear you guys tearing it up, sounded like fun.

Did some laps around Dash Point ST Park with kid and snowboard in tow. No tickets yet but some very bad looks from my greenie neighbors and yes we both had helmets on. Its dumping down here again:beer;

Way to raise your kid to believe that it's okay to thumb your nose at the law when you want to go out and have a little fun. Are you teaching him that people who have money are somehow better than everyone else, and don't have to abide by the same laws that others do.?

It's called RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT for a REASON!

Well, riding a sled in your own yard is completely legal, and completely different than riding illegally where you aren't supposed to be.

When we start teaching our kids that it's okay to be irresponsible and break the law now and then as long as we're having fun and and going for a "rip around the hood", are we to be hypocrites when they get they're driving license and decide to act irresponsibly for the sake of having fun or ripping around the hood?

I guess it shouldn't be any surprise that teenage drunk driving is on the rise, or that the number of teens killing themselves and others while street racing keeps going up.

I would bet that the parents of spoiled brat teenagers who wind up dead from irresponsible reckless behavior blame television, video games, hanging with the wrong crowd, anything but blaming themselves for raising them that way.
