Story told!!

Spill it Paul

Okay--Time for a short story??

Do you all remember the storm of 88 when we got 18" the first of each month--Jan, Feb,March. Okay?! I was getting a bit cocky about riding the sled around the area--First kept it in the neighborhood--then started hitting the main 4 lane roads--then started making high speed runs late night.

Well needless to say--They had been looking for me:rolleyes: tracks all over the Renton highlands and reports of some sled going Mach 1 down the main roads passing cars (remember-I was younger then). Well--They eventually, during the March storm caught up to me:eek: Oops!!

A series of bad events happened all at once, I guess it was just a matter of :clock: before something gave up (I had not rejetted for lower elevation)

The officers had just radared me going 87MPH down a 5 lane road that had a speed limit of 45MPH without snow:face-icon-small-win. Well the radioed ahead for any officer availible!! I was making some tracks and ready to peel off the main road and take the backroads to ditch the officer (that is all I thought I was contending with at the time) and there must have been a convention of officers down at the donut shop and they all bailed out of the shop or something!!

Of course what did I not do:confused: to the sled?? Rejet the sucker for almost sea level--Big oopser--The engine BLEW!! I did not even have time to bail and leave the sled--The officiers came out of the wood work--they were everywhere--You would have thought I had just robbed a bank and shot someone.

I was pinned to the ground and cuffed--Hauled to jail--sled impounded--and spent the weekend in jail!! It was a real expensive venture!! The WIFE was pissed off in a big way!! She had been telling me not to do it--was a bummer that she was right:eek:

Needless to say--I was locked up for the weekend--spent several trips to court and out of pocket expenses was around $2000 and that did not account for the engine I had to replace:mad:.

There--It is out of the bag Pinned W F O!!!

I can laugh now about this--But I can not imagine what they might do now to you--Probabley a Felony if you got caught doing this now!! You can not help but blow by the cars on the road--and they freak out when you blow by them!! It was great getting a glimpse of their expressions as you went by---LMAO.

And that is all I have to say about that:o

Oh--I will deny any knowledge of this ever happening---;)

You are my hero. Never thought you would tell the story. I owe you a pile of beverage. On another note just finished the little womans sled, you know the Cat with the Polaris 800 and took it down the road not a bad maiden voyage and it still runs.

One of my buddies was out riding his sled during that same snowfall in 88 and was chased by the Bellevue police.
He ditched them and rode the machine back home.
They followed his tracks and busted him about a half our later.

He got to spend 100 days on work release in the King County grey bar hotel!
