Just curious as I am considering one over a turbo. Anyone who has one can chime in too and give some feedback.

I would like to follow a few of you throughout the year to see how you are liking them.

thanks

Rode Carl's Cycle 900 on a 2012 Pro on June 2nd. It was really Nice, fast, quiet, and smooth. I liked it .a lot.

What are they priced?

I'd like to put one up against a pump gas turbo with about five or six pounds of boost.

whats five or size pds of boost? did writing that get you so excited you couldnt spell?..man scott...you been on old iron for tooo long buddy..........

now as for the BB over boost..down here(we ride alot of country thats under 3500 ft)..I would take the BB..up high(over 5-6000 ft) I would have to have boost..unless it was brads 1100 billet..

Not sure on price but I know they aren't cheap. I will have the chance to be around a turbo pro all season this year. I am curious to see how reliable it is, how strong it is in "pump gas" mode, durability and throttle response.

I have always had excellent luck with all of Jack's stuff. His stuff runs hard and is reliable. I don't have the time to wrench on my sled every time I ride. Perhaps turbos have gotten to that point that they are pull and go...I will see this winter :)

I do know guys who have both - turbo and the 900BB. They have told me they cannot deny the power out put of the turbo, but the snappy throttle response and "quickness" of the BB is impressive.

Ive been on the turbo game...
Nice power but too much wrenching ant too much lag....
Going with PAR 910-

The decision for me came down to two things,
1st I can turn boost up or down based on the day and where I'll be riding (most days up I'm sure) which with the 900 is a set power

2nd was I didn't see the same value in the big bore. Clutching, pipe, engine kit etc....$6000 +

I'll see how the 900, 910 and 858 run this year and go from there.

Look forward to speaking with you...

What kind of power increase are you seeing in the pump gas form?

Scott - would you say then that IF a guy never wanted to run race fuel, a big bore (like Jack's 900 or PAR's 910) is the better way to go? If I am not mistaken, the BB's put out similar or more power than 190hp, have more torque and better throttle response. It is my understanding that the BB's do not require race gas to accomplish this...please correct me if I am wrong.

thanks!
