Whos afraid of the big bad putty cat LOL

Trust me I am not brand loyal, my dad owned a doo dealership years back, through the years the one thing that I go for in a sled is the engine, back then the rotax was the best of the best and still a strong motor but once cat went to the laydown its undisputed the engine is overbuilt compared to the others with the best intake and exhaust route through the engine making the most power and way more with mods. Way back in those days I had it out with poo's and hated them, then liked the edge, good sled as long as the belt didn't break.

With that said the pro is way above anything I have ever seen from polaris and is a kick azz sled. I am still leary of the engine but hoping the hold up and where I am coming from the cat will be more capable and presumably more reliable after I get done with the mods. Mod for Mod the cats kick azz right now. I'm sure they will get it figured out but holy chit I have never heard of this many failures this quick ever, it will be curious to see what the issue is. As for the pro I would love one but would only want one if I kept it stock as I don't quite trust it yet. Another guy in our group switched from doo to the pro so now there is 2, I think I will be the only with a new cat if I get one. Still waiting on that demo ride before I pull the trigger. The failures, not knowing the true weight difference or how it handles is still making the pro a strong possibility.

FYI, I don't give a f ck about the a-arms, tunnel, glued together or whatever, thats just part of life and I can fab just about anything to fix any of those issues, heII I could build the motor but don't have the time or money for that so I pretty much buy a engine not a brand name (other than suzuki) I would like one of each though and have a pro for N/A days, backup, loaner or rental when needed. I think it would be a better sled for the gf and the once in a while riders. If I get a cat and the pro holds up through this year I prob will get one as a second sled in the future if money is there.

I love my Pro... Literally love it. However, I am not paid by Polaris, and I don't ride around in any obnoxious, branded Polaris garb either. I would gladly ride with anyone riding an AC, or a doo. (I draw the line at Yamahas) What makes us all keep coming back is the ride with friends, and the trash talking over beers afterwards. We all will embelish whatever line we picked, or how our sled performs anyways. It's all part of the fun!

Can't wait to ride

Nicely stated. I will agree with you there!

Serious? Most loyal? That goes to Polaris... that anyone still buys a Polaris after the 800 big block cranks, 900, and 800 Dragon shows just how "loyal" their customers are... I guess "loyal" is the word we would use.

And I wouldn't be throwing too many rocks yet if you are a Pro rider... it wasn't until mid 2009 that the 2008 Dragon flaws started really rearing their ugly head.

And your point is... Poo buyers are morons, and cat owners suck the least?

Having seen the numbers that the OEM's gather and share via ISMA, cat buyers have had the lowest brand defection since they came out of ArtCo (that's post bankruptcy), with Yammy closing. Just stat'in facts, not farts.

You guys have plenty of reason to be worried, not that i dont think your pro rmk will give you grins all year cause we all know it will. But your in for a hard reality all season if you cant see what cat put on the table this year......

There getting 15 mph more track speed then The 11m stock for stock.

There pulling 5 more grams of weight. Cat is no longer crippled by there ****ty secondary and that kitty motor is really going to put its paws to the snow this year.

Have been on three rides this year with the proclimbs all ran flawless and put a hurting on my 10 m and the pro rmk that was in our group. The 12 skidoo was actually the closest to the proclimb in valdez this last weekend. The pro rmk owner traded sleds and out highmarked his own highmark on the proclimb.

I have ridden both and if your not happy with either then somethings wrong with you cause they are both phenominal sleds..

But i would be humble polaris cause first two ride reports were highly impressive for that kitty!

5 of my buddies bought new m's and none have a issue yet, 200 miles and counting.

Im not trying to come on here and talk trash i hope the 12's holdup for everyone!!! Lots of my buddys bought the new pro rmk too, think more new sleds were bought this year out of our group then any year previously!

Its going to be an epic year!

This is stonehands1 on SHOP computer:
Two people have claimed that Poo has set the "Benchmark". Please enlighten me on your idea of a benchmark. Three buddies had new poos last year and all have had clutching done and one has Brads head on it and HPS can. I been on a full HOLZ racing Evol shocked XP and I will say that the Poo is a fine handling machine out of the box and needs very little rider input to make her dance. I attribute this to being very light and sthe steep attack angle on the track. It makes the front end very light feeling.
Now if that is what is meant by benchmark then I agree it is a great stock chassis and very easy to ride. It also is a good looking sled. But for me thats about it.
The new Pro Climb I believe will out climb and out race the Poo. Not hacking the Poo at all just curious what it is about the Poo that has set the Benchmark.
Thanks stonehands1

I can tell you alot of people jumped ship on Polaris around here after the 900 Liberty and then the Dragon. I here the new Polaris is a hell of a sled, but people here are gun shy of them. Knew guys that seized Dragon engines 4 times in 1000 miles. Most of the Poo guys went to Doo.

The guys who have taken deliver of their M800's love em. Say they are the best sled Cat has ever produced. Poo and Cat are on top right now. :)
