I presume he means the someting comparable to the rktek drop in kit, pms polaris fix kit consisting of a set of arcitc cat f8 wiseco pistons and a shim. I am not a believer in these "fix kits" Its not the pistons its the cylinders that are f'ed up. Forget the 5-700 youll spend on shims and/or pistons heads and send to a machine shop that actually addresses the problem. I realize these kits may work and work just fine and possibly produce a little more hp in the short term. In my own personal experience i have found that my riding partner with a "fix kit" has more "scuffing" on his pistons at 1800 miles then mine at 2700. And no I dont baby it, this 2012 800 has spent many many miles with the flipper on the bar. I know for a fact that since my warranty will expire this year, I will be splurging on a longrod motor with also includes some cylinder fixing as well. Also this fantastic setup will be accompanied by a three year engine warranty!!!!!!!!!

Bud Flaten of Missoula he's that guy who only buy's something if he has to have it, Skip and Andrew his Snow Hawk riding buddies young enough to be his sons informed me years ago he also needed literally half the residential property in town, the rental fees are just compensation from the residents usage. He used to travel back and forth to Seattle/Tacoma and on occasion I would meet up with him for parts he didn't have time to meet with the recipient, at a restaurant in South Center Mall I asked where he stays, he smiled and said in his place in Tacoma, the first house he ever bought!
This expired posting was his ad recently, he was offering up his extra toys.

Bud has been to Hawk Fest every year, including the one he had a heart attack 2011, he just turned 70 +- and was a pro motorcycle hill climber in the 70's.
They both enjoy Timbersled Mountain Horse snow bikes these days as the Hawk was dad's thing, so was the red truck, but only after being in mine!

you can get the kits at pms motor sports,they manufacture the kits there.i believe their in rexburg not very far from you if your in west yellowstone,ive put a couple in and they worked great.

Pms is in Ashton, which is 60 miles south of west yellowstone..give them a call at 208-652-7736.. They might be able to work out a way to get them to you or could tell you if they have a dealer up there
