Who rules the mountain 800 for 17-18

I ride with all the mew sleds and from what I've seen this year in super deep pow the skidoo 850 is the best mtn sled with cat a close second, seems like all I do when it's 3 ft plus is pull axys's out

I agree for this year! When its crazy deep and getting narly its amazing how quick the Axys riders ask the 850 175 to go first... ha, ha! Could change next year depending on how much grunt the new Poo 850 has.

I’d like to get a new Alpha, then I could let everyone know how good, or bad they are. Anyone want to give me one? I’m still on a 2010 M8. But I’m still having a blast on it. As far as new, I’ve seen riders on both the Axy’s and the Doo 850. Boy, they can make me look bad. Haven’t seen any newer cats as they are rare in my area so I can’t really vote honestly.

"Who rules the mountain......" would be the best, most experienced rider I would think. If your good, I doubt that what brand of sled that is under you matters much. Having said that, perhaps a good poll would be what sled is easiest to ride effectively for the novice. Even then, I doubt there would be many qualified to answer, IE riders that have ridden all three enough to give a fair, educated opinion.

Don't think most people care who is the best rider, just which sled performs and will make them feel like the best.

I would bury my sled and dig it out 100 times solo with 2 broken arms before I ever asked anyone to break trail for me....

The 175 x 850 Doo does very well in in deep pow due to the little extra power and monster track. My Poo is better for me in most conditions but that day the Doo (and JungleJim) got the medal. This year should be interesting now that I will have a fresh 850 AXYS and also a big track. I just hope I am not giving up what I love about the 163 x 800 AXYS.

I own a 2018 Poo 163 and a long track 2018 doo 850. I ride with someone that is on a 2018 cat.

They are all great sleds and i would have a blast on all of them any day! I have been mountain riding a long time so the handling of the doo is easy though a little different than the poo. Easy to adjust for me. That said I found myself riding the poo a little more last year. The doo climbs better do to power and track and seems too be built better in every category. (stronger) But man i have more fun on the polaris. Feel a little less worked at the end of a deep powder day!

Use to have to build our own mountain sleds and it is so awesome to have the big 3 making such fantastic stock equipment.

If you are not having a blast on any one of these sleds or you are having sled envy, I would focus on riding skill. A great rider on any of these will make them look like #1.

So just to be clear, if I vote for the ski-doo 800 in 17 or 18 am I voting for the everest or the sport? Looks like skidoo is a little bit ahead.
