My buddy has a 2007 M8 153, we think it has plenty power, not enough traction and flotation. Wanted to know if anyone has put a 15 by 162 by 2.5Challenger Extreme on a 153 and how did it work????

track

sorry rene not realy the answer you want, close buddy of mine runs an 06 m7 162. i would not think twice, stretch it out, more than enough power, that m7 is a great sled

giddyup

I tried a 162 for a couple weeks after I totaled my 156, it was a great sales method for talking me into a shorter track. After riding that 162 for a while, I bought a 141.

Tell him to get a powerclaw, a 153 powerclaw will outclimb a 162 stock track.

I am running a 162 x 2.5 ex cut down a little on a M8, I would love to see a similar m8 with the 153 powerclaw out climb it or even stay a float longer in deeeep powder condition....I would be puzzled if did and also buy a 141.....lol

Not the exact answer, but I stretched my wife's m8 from 153 to the 156" Extreme, and my M1000 from a 153 to the 162 Extreme. You will likely need to run a slightly lighter flyweight, or heavier primary spring due to the added load and weight of the track. Best mod I did to either sled though. In regards to the powerclaw - I ran a 162 Powerclaw on the M1000 for three rides, and sold it in favour of the Extreme - much better track for the heavier, wetter snow in the BC Rockies in my humble opinion...
