Who knows about wrist's?

I work concrete. 2 week ago I lost balance while packin stuff in, felt my wrist pop, during the last couple weeks it's been sore but really hasn't hurt then boom yesterday after a few hours at work its toast, hurts so bad i can't move it, same sht new day nothings changed. Pain on the lower left side inline with the thumb, twisting hurts like h#ll? Right wrist. thanks

I would get an xray soon. Sounds like a possible fracture. About ten years ago, I had an ATV accident and landed on my wrist with my hand back. I had pain on and off for years, finally went to the doctors. Turns out there is a little bone in there, one of many, called the Scaphoid that was fractured. Its pretty common. Hopefully not the case with you, but you never know.

Thanks guys I guess I better hit up the doctor, taped it up tighter than heck this morning so it wouldn't move at all, felt alright til the end of the day. Once i got home and took off all the tape did'nt feel right at all.

My wife has worked for an orthopedic surgeon for years, here is what she said, good luck.

Sounds like you possibly could have a navicular (scaphoid) fracture. You need to get a navicular series x-ray. This little bone can cause a lot of problems if not treated (won't heal).

If you are gonna need surgery make sure they are a good surgeon and you cover all your bases before surgery. I had problems with my wrist and had arthroscopic surgery last summer. Well the part that was messed up now feels better. Now though I hurt on the other side of my wrist where they stuck the needle in. Big lump there now. Pretty sure it's scar tissue. Obviously not happy with the situation and never even wanted the doc to mess with that area of my wrist, just the location of the pain. Of course he took it upon himself to do the whole wrist and fvck it up in the process.

Just word to the wise...
