Who has upgraded shock packages and what are your thoughts

Looks like Polaris is not going to offer any better shock packages so i might as well upgrade to a set i can keep when i trade in. I have experience with fox and raptor and have been happy in the past. Who has tried these packages on the axys and what did you think. Anyone try z bros, i have been happy with their a arms in the past but have never ran their shocks. Also i m not really interested in re valving and buying all new springs everytime i upgrade. Might as well spend the cash once.

thanks in advance

Just pulled the trigger on zbros. X2's in front and rts.
Cts is X1.
I'm gonna throw em in next week and ride 3 days so I oughta have a pretty good ride report by the 15th.
Also putting on Zbros 39 inch front end.

I run zbroz exit shox on my sled. x1 all the way around. Worlds better!

The x0-ipf is a good shock and will be a noticeable improvement over those junky WE shocks, however i recommend at least the x0 for the rear.

What are the opinions on the WE clicker option on sno checks? I know lots of you send shocks to Carl's to get revalved and such or is it better to just get the regular shock option and get those revalved? Thanks

The 16-17 Snowcheck WE piggyback shocks are NOTHING like the WE needles, which is what I thought they were when I spent the extra money on them at snowcheck. That being said, my personal opinion is these clickers are much better than the stock non-clicker shocks with Carl's valving mainly due to the compression adjustability. I wouldn't spend the money to have them valve the clickers since the dial more or less does what they would be changing internally anyway. just my $.02

I have the updated piggyback shocks and I will say they are better than the standard coil shocks. But...still not near as good as the X1's I had on my Pro. I just don't have the coin to upgrade and I knew that when I bought. So I got the piggyback option. Plus...if you decide to upgrade, the Piggyback will sell quicker than the standards (I think).

The X1's are as smooth as I've had. I think they are better than the Evol R (which I also had) but I'm not sure how they measure up to the new Q3 from Fox. Zbroz has great customer service. The guys will have a shock conversation with you to get them right.

Fwiw my carls revalve is as good if not better that my carls valved float evols i had on my pro

On my last Pro I started with a full set of Raptor springs. Liked them so much, I ended up pulling them off and went with a full set of Raptor shocks. Wayyyyyyyyyyy better!!

The 17 Axys will have a full set of Raptors too!!!

Anyone try the Z Broz dual rate springs for the monotube WEs on the pros? Are they worth it?
DG

I have a set. They are better than stock. I feel like they were worth the money. That said, I just bought a set of piggyback take offs and had them sent to Carls. The front springs are for sale if interested.

The Burandt fox evol qs3 rears are worth every penny imo...
Changed the sled completely for the better.
And they were also 1lb 6oz lighter than the stock wannabe's

I brought some of last years evol 3's over on the front and love em.

anybody running the Fox Kieth Curtis shocks?
thoughts?

also, how are the Fox shocks for the pro-ride chassis working out on the axys chassis? I have a set of Evols i just took off my ’14 and would like to put them on the new sled if they work.

I'm running my front Fox Evol's off my pro on my Axys, works out very well, also running the AI 36" front end.

how is the rear track shock working? I know it is a little shorter than stock axys rts.

any word yet

If you can afford to change the suspension to a aftermarket suspension I would suggest doing this. IMHO can you make the stock suspension handle better?
Yes you can, but it will never be as good as a Kmod or a Mt tamer or an Ezride
I've tried many different shocks (Exit, Raptors,Fox,Elka's) on stock skids none even come close to delivering that bang for your buck as a full skid does.
It is more expensive but well worth it in the end.
