usn 84-88 active. i was an aircraft mech. on the nimitz also[ but stationed in fla] and when that boat went west coast in 86, was supposed to go to carl vinson. but was tanked by a bike accident. was put on shore duty till honorable discharge.in 1988.

Good deal, I rode that pig around the horn up to Bremerton, Wa. Being from Cali that was the only way I could get to the west coast, I hitched a ride from Norfolk, Va. That boat was out to sea so much it sucked! in 4 years I did a Med. Cruise, 2 West Pacs, a blue nose cruise and a heck of a lot of workups. I bet we shared Sea Time? I rode a bike during my time in Norfolk too!

Does working at a military base for 25 years count. I have worked on Fighter aircraft, ordnance bomb racks, launchers and hand guns. I have the upmost respect for anyone that is in the military. Hats off. Beers for all:beer;:beer;:beer;
